When you capitalize a single letter first person pronoun, it makes your conlang look like a cypher of English, you know. (and we only do it because lowercase i looks ugly on its own)

I know. tbh, I don't want to have to do it either, but I've made it force of habit. I don't do it when I'm writing with the Zarian alphabet though.

You need to stop saying that.

The capital "I" has nothing to do with aesthetics, it came about as a way of avoiding misreading handwritten manuscripts. It's a functional development, not an aesthetic one.

Well, it's writing dialect as standard; standard is completely phonemic. (It'd be ifálls errifálan fállong [jĭˈfaʰɬs ɪʰɾ̥jĭˈfɑɫɐn ˈfɑʰɬŋ̩] there.)

<i y u> are used to write both semivowels and vowels, because the 'vowels' are actually syllabic consonants (which is why they can't appear in stressed position); the other syllabic consonants are written <om on ong> etc., because <o> has no other use.

Doubled consonants were geminated, but are now preaspirated pretty much everywhere, besides the border dialects, where they did something very Arve-influenced that I haven't worked out yet. The only other difference is that Cerrais Kett fricated a lot of /r/ and fucked with the vowels a bit.
