In that light, when you speak of "slaves" and "common slaves", I think you mean two very different things, and perhaps - if I may be so bold - when everyone else has spoken of "slaves" what they meant were "common slaves"?

These are Ngolu idioms approximately equivalent to 'How could I have seen/known that?' and 'I saw that. I'm not blind.' The first part, komor une is ambiguous as regards to the number of eyeballs. The word kuje(n) is kind of the opposite of 'merely', it indicates significance and may be translated sometimes by 'even'.
