Poswobs arent much into mathematics but they would have no trouble coming up with a good translation for this (the Latin one just means "touching", after all)
fip "to brush against something"
šano path that touches a destination at only one point (but not necessarily with a smooth curve)
taka "bumpy ground"
or even
fapplopop fipos "two curves that brush against each other"
But most likely just fip or šano would be good enough in math where a lot of the language's vocabulary can be just left to rest.
