verb root for "letting [one's] spear rust"

A militaristic cultural complex, to not be in a raid or campaign or preparing for one, is wasting time and being a burden. So if you are not in combat, you are essentially doing nothing or have nothing to do.

Čidlitrigo: Urɛmbri plonkú
"Thunder that is impossible with a poor effect for the person trying to thunder"
The people in question, the Trengko, make no distinction between thunder and laughter, but of course they realize how thunder must follow lightning. In other words, if the lightning (a good joke) isn't there, then it is impossible to thunder.

In Caascis:

Atetiae haatisa tiiti
[ɑtɛtiˈʔɑʔɛ hɑˈʔɑtisɑ tiˈʔiti]
like-adv.v flies.s frog.nom.s
"Like a frog flies."
Because a frog may jump very high and far, but he's not actually flying. Can also have the meaning to make a cursory attempt at something or performing a task poorly but pretending as if you were trying really hard.

Next idiom: To be a good listener.

I'm not sure if I understand... Could you give an example of something that's simultaneously decent and unfortunate? Like a solution that presents itself too late?
