Sounds interesting, although it would take a bit to warm up to hosting, I think that would be really cool.

If each host had the responsibility of content to bring up, then I could certainly do that, although I'm not an expert linguist, which may make the talk less technical, or make it harder for me to discuss subjects on which I am unfamiliar.

Idea: a lesser experienced host asks questions about a topic in which the other host is more experienced?

I'm happy to "call in" or contribute content, but regular hosting... it sounds like too much of a Chore, and I need a bit of a break from that at the moment (as a reward for finishing my undergraduate studies).

Funny, I actually decided to start the podcast for something to do after graduation (in addition to looking for a job, of course). If you or anyone would like to contribute short pre-recorded segments (say a minute, maybe a minute and a half), feel free. I've already set up an email for the show: conlangery@gmail.com

As Ollock knows, I have been trying to come up with an intro and outro for the show. If anyone has any ideas on genre, that would be really helpful. Also, I am just using pre-recorded garage band things and tweaking them a little, so it will probably sound familiar to those of you who use it frequently.

Yeah, some Jazz might do well. The main thing I want is for it to get to the hook quick and have a quick, difinitive ending. I have a theme in the first pod, but it's a little long for my taste. Something shorter and quicker would do nicely going forward.

Oh, is that on there? Meh, I've seen more professional podcasts call specific attention to drinking, your references didn't bother me. I do think I got rid of all Torco's F-bombs (like, four of them). We need to save those for a profanity episode down the line

Ah, it's supposed to be fun. I just try to steer the discussion where it gets sidetracked. Besides, I need you guys: You have much better radio voices than me.

That said -- watch the F-bombs. I've discovered they are actually a real pain to edit out. My mom found one that I had missed.

The music was mine -- and I really think you should have just cropped it, faded in at the middle, then faded out. It'd be alright with me :P

I could maybe shorten the music down a little. The main issue is I want to get to the hook before I fade out into my intro. I did cut out your coda to save some time on outro.

And as for downloading, you can subscribe to the RSS feed if you have a standard RSS-based podcast catcher (iTunes can also take an RSS URL directly). So far I haven't seen it up in the iTunes store, but keep checking there if you use iTunes (I submitted it yesterday). I am also planning on creating a Podcastr app for anyone with an iOS device (iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch).
