It's like a massive typo. Some times when I write, say, <lurk>, I write <lruk> (in handwritting). Same concept, whole words.

He should put them all in one directory so one wouldn't have to adblock each individual one.

yeah, i made my own keyboard layout (the program Ukelele on the Mac, I guess there are equivalents on Windows). can't do it on my phone though which is why you'll occasionally see me using x-sampa again recently.

or a way that requires less programming: there's a tool out there that you can use to convert on the fly between x-sampa and real ipa.

I thought chart was french/latin and wasn't germanic.

This response has revolutionised my language, the verb 'to be' can be expressed using verb markers and duplication of the correlatives. If that makes any sense.

I am developing a language that is based on West Central German languages (such as Pennsylvania German and Luxembourgish) and Dutch/Afrikaans (Low Franconian languages). I named it Vancouver Dutch (a.k.a. Dutch*), it is probably spoken by a Mennonite community around the Vancouver area.

* The word for Netherlands Dutch in VDutch is "nederlandsie" and the peoples are the "nederlanderen" or "holender". Basically, there is no word that is simply "Dutch", so the Vancouver Dutch-ophones call themselves the "dutsch".
