Yeah, a salt lake that does not drain. Izambri stuck it there when he made his map of Zibban, so I just had to work with it.

I went ahead and made Dixia as well. I left the portion bordering Cleveland undetailed so that it can be matched up with whatever Click does with Cleveland. Ya is also ready to be filled in.

I draw them by hand in Photoshop with a Wacom tablet. I don't know how other people do it.

Hÿÿjetc is one long city. It looks like a collar, and the penisula reminds me of Nefertiti or an alien.
It was about time I changed this.

I thought the same thing about the face. It's visible in patiku's original map!

No, it has racetracks ("Oh and they also like building racetracks because racism is aweseome"). Kluk is the one with the jumping train. I indicated the train jumps explicitly on the map of Kluk.

I created a Mercator projection version:

I figure this will make it at least somewhat easier to draw the countries closer to the poles, since there is now only horizontal stretching instead of both horizontal and vertical. They can be drawn them at Mercator scale and then compressed back down to the original equirectangular projection which is useful for 3D modelling.

Ow. My eyes were already in terrible shape and you just made them worse with that map.

I'm going to start by trying drawing Georgia and Jerho in the Mercator projection and then squash them into equirectangular. I'm still trying to figure out how I'll compensate for the gradual widening that happens in any rectangular projection. Maybe I'll just do it by eye.

I don't know. Should have paid attention to patiku's wonderful world.

Click, any progress on Cleveland? Have you given up?

I've been a bit busy myself, which is why I haven't done one in a week. Maybe I'll go ahead and make Cleveland then eventually. I'll also make Detroit and Linguifex can place some cities on it once I finish I guess.

That's fine. I was going for an effect where there'd be multiple "crests" of hills/mountains producing a certain visible effect I can't properly articulate but that I've seen while on the highways in Ohio. (I think the southwest needs a bit less hills too.)
Is this the type of thing you're talking about?

On a smaller scale, yes. If you get on certain points on the highway IIRC you can see more topographical crests peaking in the distance, which I thought was cool.

Here is Ya, the main trade route between the fertile plains of Hypophallos and Lower Saxony and the mountain plateau of Dixia and Hutaz. I have not added cities or anything, so Click can decide on that when time permits.

Composite image of everything done so far except Izambri's islands way out in the middle of nowhere. It appears to be an extremely mountainous world so far.

That's one sexy map. I wish I could contribute more but other obligations are getting in the way.

Also I have now finished the long-awaited enhanced map of Cleveland. I tried to keep the geography pretty close to the original map by Linguifex.
