Not if they let you take my place—I'm officially dropping out.

Hiatus, mostly (which I'm afraid I'll have to continue soon)... and I wasn't really participating much to begin with.

The deadline for protolangs is this friday, i.e. tomorrow. They are mostly finished, which means one thing - we begin to derive the daughters! I call everyone to come back and do their part, since we need a little more activity than the one of tha last two weeks if we want to derive more than two-three daughters. This especially holds for team two, where there have been only 2-3 active members recently.

Hello all,
While I don't think I'll be able to join in the relay as a full participant due to plenty of real-life time constraints, I'd be happy to observe and provide input on Akana-specific matters. Is that ok with you guys?
(I tried PMing Serafín last week for a forum account, though I've not heard back.)

Either way I hope this all goes well. In the meantime I plan on doing some reconstruction work on the 2011-2 relay's Team 1... :)

This will certainly characterize me as an extremely light-minded and irresponsible person, given the amount of unfinished conlanging job on my hands... but anyway.

If any shortage of manpower is felt with one of the teams, I'd love to join.

(Also, it seems that this game has become an Akanaran thing anyway, so perhaps a section on the Akana Forum will be of use?)

It’s with great pleasure that we announce that the Team 1 Protolang is ready and frozen. We are now starting serious work on the daughter languages.

Everyone is welcome to follow the progress of the game in our public plaza at http://conrelay2014.prophpbb.com/

Those of you who are on Team 1 and haven’t checked in, please come by the forum and see the finalized grammar.

Team 2, when will your language be ready? Let’s discuss over at our relay forum’s Public Plaza.

Just as a tease, I want to say that this is the most detailed grammar I have ever (been part of) writ(ten/ing) in my life and I'm incredibly proud to have been a part of it.

I can't wait to be able to show it publicly sometime later this year once the reconstruction relay is done. It will be very fun to see how the game progresses and how close people will be able to get to the original grammar through reconstruction.

I have totally opposite feelings regarding Proto-T2.

We got two preliminary daughters from each team already. Can you guess which is which?

Long story short, we have some significant progress from our side at team two, so if you have been waiting for this, you can now continue.
Also from what has been discussed on the forum, we are accepting new members. You just have to contact the respective team captain or something... I don't know the entering procedure.

We're willing to accept new members too...
...but here's the big caveat: Only Serafín can create new accounts or otherwise modify board settings on the game forum, and he hasn't been around for several months now. (He checked in here at the ZBB a couple of times in February, but it seems he has more important things to deal with currently, and he's rather unlikely to respond to a PM just to let new people enter into the game.) So we would have to find a way to accomodate newcomers without them being able to read anything on the secret boards. Possible I suppose, but quite a challenge.

The forum, together with the whole prophpbb seems to be taken down. Any idea why?

edit: nvm, it's back up now. Odd.

Aaand it's down again.

Serafín – if you're out there – any chance you could make someone else admin whenever you get a chance (and the board is back up)?

It seems to be somewhat permanently down and since the entire domain is down, the support site is down. I hope you guys weren't saving any important data only on there…

Important data such as all kinds of random speculations about the nature of PR? In such case, yes. ☹
I have copies of most of the data, it's quite disorganised, but that shouldn't be an issue.
The bigger concern are the discussions, many questions I got answered to and all those notes to myself. It never occurred me to backup those.
So if it doesn't get back up, where are we moving to?
