I thought I'd make this thread to keep track of all the CCC threads without having to scroll through C &C or my posts.

Because I have to keep digging for it, so I figure others are too (particularly with the vote up). I'll try to keep it updated?

Welp good to know I can still enter my culture once I get back to my computer. Sorry y'all I'd been away from the city for quite a while. Had an unexpected little journey.

V9 is missing from the map. But I don't think anything else is.

The project is getting a little hard to keep track of, so I've created a wiki.

It should be set up where you can add an account easily-- if not, tell me. Once the spammers find it, I will probably have to have an account creation process.

I created an index map and a skeleton for continents, species, and cultures; plus, as a model, I created pages on Orcs, Torcs, and Torc Sign.

I used names people have already used for continents and islands where I could find them, but we can certainly discuss better names.

(Why not Rhetorica's site? One, less hassle: I could set this up in a few hours. Two, it uses MediaWiki markup. Three, reliability and direct access-- I've had troubles with sites maintained by friends or other people. If you want to use her language tools, of course you could link to a page over there. For history and culture and such, I think it'll be more convenient to use the ZbbWiki.)

Where so? I'd like to suggest we call the continent that is currently know as "Ars Land" to the name Seyëd Atṯimok [se'jəd at'θimɤk], if Ars doesn't mind.
We could also call the Hashahki region, "Anṛḫal"

I think it would make more sense to have a Torc, probably Threatish name for it, possibly interpreted through one of their more vocal neighbours, since the Threat Empire is the big power there.

So I made a page on the Mecongai, but the pictures I uploaded don't seem to be working properly.

I dont remember the Torcs being on Ars' continent... I thought those were orcs.

There's something wrong making thumbnail images... I had this problem on Almeopedia and solved it, so I'll see what I did there.

Should be fixed. I had to replace your 616K image though.

What exactly are the rules for expansion for the 4000-5500 time period? It is the squares we got in the language voting phase?

Also, are we allowed to take small areas (much less than one square) outside of the claimed squares as trading posts or similar?

Second question is easier: sure, trading posts and whatnot can be added freely.

As for squares, if you feel you need them, take 'em, I guess... remember that they're 1000 km wide at the equator, so something like your area in Lyranis/Otralyra is 4000 km, almost as wide as the US.

Spammers already discovered the wiki. So if you don't have an account, PM me and I'll create one. Sorry for the hassle.

I'd like to apologise to everyone, and in particular the people who tried to talk to me about it, for disappearing from this. RL stuff suddenly just got really busy, and I've a bad habit of ignoring relatively-unimportant-but-still-should-be-addressed-if-only-to-explain-your-absence problems when I'm stressed - I wan't intending to be a full-time participant, but I had intended to lay down SOME ideas for where my culture was going to go!

Hope I didn't mess too much up for people.

This is probably not the best place to say this, but I'm going to rework the entirety of the Zalar civ at some point. I'll limit myself to what I got and when, and keep the general gist, but since they're comparatively isolated and (still!) undocumented (I'll do it, I promise!) I should be able to get away with it. Motive is reading about Proto-Afro-Asiatic, and thinking of a better way to produce the language I want them to be speaking.

Any idea if or when we're going to start this back up again?
