It was that, only turned up to /ɨɨ/. I'll have to see if I can find it... if I've still got any records they're going to be buried.

My conworld's Ubykh has the IPA, ExtIPA, velar tap, velar trill, palatal tap, palatal trill.
It already has a romanization with all these weird Latin Extended D letters.

Is that it? Where are the subapical dentals? The pharyngeal stops? And while we're talking about impossible sounds, where are the uvular sibilants?

WHERE ARE THE HATS?!

You didn't. You only mentioned four of them. Come back and show me your phonology-- for real this time; don't just point at the IPA and say "It's that". I want to see a list of every phoneme your language has.

Really, though. Digraphs > combining diacritics that don't always display right.

Would it kill you, Birdlang, to make a romanization that wasn't implausible-diacritic spam? Especially given that you place no context in which letters you choose: ʼn, for example, is a rarely-used single-character form of Afrikaans' indefinite article which, by the way, is pronounced /ə/. I get that you're a beginner, but maybe take some time to make something that wasn't eye-searing and ridiculously difficult?

/ə/ a
/u o ɒ/ w u o

Consonants:
/m~mʲ n~nʲ/ m n
/b~bʲ d~dʒ ɡ~ɟ/ b d g
/p~pʲ t~tʃ k~c kʷ~cʷ/ p t k q
/f~fʲ θ~θʲ s~ʃ x~ç xʷ~çʷ h/ f th s c qh h/sh
/v~vʲ z~ʒ ɣ~ʝ ɣʷ~ʝʷ/ v z x y
/w ɹ ɰ w/ vh zh xh yh

Consonants are palatalized before /e æ ə/, and after /i e æ ə/. sh is used for /h/ when h could be confused for a digraph.

I never thought about long vowels, and the language has one nasal that will be pronounced like the velar nasal at the end of words, Japanese style.
OK
a x x̄ c e ē f g h i ī j k l m n o ō p q u ū y ʽ ā w z z̄ v v̄
yes, x, z, and v are vowels. it is a CV language with 8 short and 8 ??? vowels. i am using a Hawaiian/Samoan/Tahitian-like orthography with macrons and the ʽokina.
