The tilde-letter combinations are digraphs. Double letters, dž, pf, ts and tš are also digraphs. All letters with diacritics above are considered separate from both the base form and each other.

I can't think of a romanisation for MobiusFlip's most recent post, yet I want this thread to continue. How about we change the rules so that you don't have to provide a next orthography or provide a phonology for the most recent orthography, as in the Romanization thread.

Many years ago, a friend of mine asked me to create a conlang for her fictional setting. She had a definite aesthetic in mind and had already written a list of 40+ words with no clear idea of how they should be pronounced, so I had to figure out a phonology and appropriate spelling rules. I'm curious to see what other people think the following sample would sound like:

Asfagol caedyl tach do Cweratiu: "Tannlach gleost cár, myll á myllon, duig á dugion, thógudh á thógdhon, céd gleostu cwasygh sí." Maegath dy fúrr swa tímmas foech te chlýd. Las Cwerait na perin Asfagla: "Tida sturr denn, sa gyf sturru dennygh. Tida beidd cywaill, sa gyf beddi cywalligh."

It looks like Welsh and Irish are at it again after giving birth to the Manx orthography. As this is a conworld conlang, I'm going to go on a Celtic-ish orthography for definitely non-Celtic phonology route.

Asfagol caedyl tach do Cweratiu: "Tannlach gleost cár, myll á myllon, duig á dugion, thógudh á thógdhon, céd gleostu cwasygh sí." Maegath dy fúrr swa tímmas foech te chlýd. Las Cwerait na perin Asfagla: "Tida sturr denn, sa gyf sturru dennygh. Tida beidd cywaill, sa gyf beddi cywalligh."

There are no diphthongs. Doubled consonants are geminates when they are not intervocalic.
/as.fa.ɡol ka.e.d̪yl t̪ax d̪o kwe.ra.t̪i.u t̪anː.lax ɡle.ost̪ kaːr mylː aː myl.lon d̪u.iɡ aː d̪u.ɡi.on θoː.ɡuð aː θoːɡ.ðon keːd̪ ɡle.os.t̪u kwa.syɣ siː ma.e.ɡaθ d̪y fuːrː swa t̪iːm.mas fo.ex t̪e xlyːd̪ las kwe.ra.it̪ na pe.rin as.faɡ.la t̪i.d̪a st̪urː d̪enː sa ɡyf st̪ur.ru d̪en.nyɣ t̪i.d̪a be.id̪ː ky.wa.ilː sa ɡyf bed̪.d̪i ky.wal.liɣ/
Consonants and vowels link with the vowels and consonants of the following noun, respectively:
[as.fa.ɡol ka.e.dyl tax d̪ok.we.ra.ti.u tanː.lax ɡle.ost̪ kaːr myl.laː.myl.lon d̪u.i.ɡaː.d̪u.ɡi.on θoː.ɡu.ðaː.θoːɡ.ðon keːd̪ ɡle.os.t̪uk.wa.syɣ siː ma.e.ɡaθ dy.ɸuːrː swa.tiːm.mas ɸo.ex tex.lyːd̪ las kwe.ra.it̪ na.pe.ri.nas.faɡ.la ti.das.t̪urː denː sa.ɡyf st̪ur.ru.den.nyɣ ti.da.be.id̪ː ky.wa.ilː sa.ɡyf bed̪.di.ky.wal.liɣ]
(Notice that the linking does not carry across quotes. Dental stops retract before front vowels and /f/ advances before back vowels.)

Syllables are of the form CV(n, l, y, w). O and u do not occur with finals, and -iw & -ew otherwise do not occur
