At least for Team 1 I'd rather if there were input from the entire team when creating the proto-language. There are things I can't do well (syntax for instance).

Anyway I'll take a spot to the east of the Team 1 urheimat along the bay leading into the north-central isthmus.

Hey Vidurnaktis. Are you on track with the proto-lang creation or do you expect some kind of input from us first?

How is Team 1's proto-lang coming along? So far, for my team, I've done the phonology and part of the nominal morphology.
Would end of February be a good deadline?

I hammered out a phonological sketch a few nights ago, just filling it out/touching it up now. We still need a fora tho which would facilitate our teams' organisation. Some neutral, but interested, party could create a forum here.

I have an idea: for people who migrate in the same direction (so for me that would be Yrusia and maybe De Graut Bur), how about if we agree on at least a few common sound changes or other developments, as our peoples are likely to have coexisted for a while before they went their separate ways.

That's up to you if you wish to do that. The idea is the same as the early life of PIE (nice pun me): by working out sound changes diachronically we will move from protolang dialect to a new language. It's up to whoever to derive languages from specific daughters if they so wish.

Look at how many people we already have. That's quite a big language family for each team, especially since we'll probably have two or more 'generations' of subfamilies.

Keep in mind that some people will inevitably drop out for whatever reasons, so having a bit more people is a good idea. In the last year's relay out of 11 people in the second team only 3 ~ 4 were active some five months after the start and in the second such relay (iirc) all members of one of the teams went inactive.
And this is the fourth conlang relay, right?

The reconstruction relay? It is the fifth one, if you count the unsuccessful relay of 2012/13.
