Actually, wow, the thing at the top of the page says my last visit was March 29. Conlanging requires both free time and energy, and grad school has pretty well robbed me of both.

What troubles you about the verbs?
I did have a bizarrely similar (to the original poster's) accident about four years ago, in which I slipped over a cookie and somehow twisted my ankle so far that it broke
What kind of cookie?

Ang engasayon tupas menanya naraye misang na Ayeri, nārya batisyang.
AT be.more-HAB-3PL.N long at.first word-PL.T action GEN Ayeri, but short-CAU-1SG.A
'Ayeri's verbs used to be longer at first, but I shortened them.'

Like, IIRC originally, object pronouns could cliticize to the VP as well, so what is just batisyang (tos) could originally have been something like:

mabataisāyangyonaris
mə-bata-isa-ay-ang-yon-aris.
PST-short-CAU-1S-A-3PL.N-P
'I shortened them.'

I should dig out old notes and lol at them.

Oh were that my language less like Zulu

Well I don't know what I was thinking last night but I updated the orthography. taytyugganilay used to be taytxughkanilay. Also in the process of writing that one sentence the language rapidly dropped its Bantu-with-serial-numbers-filed-off look.

Kazatyi tan parakaznay,

Kami dyanəng suzu walingitay,

The lover not myself loved,

My heart walks in circles around my breast,
the earth ends up with less land.

Pretty poor poetry but not bad for quarter-past-midnight

I think it has a lot of umlauts.

(As does Miar. And before anyone asks, Ch always represents aspirated stops/affricates, whereas the corresponding C is an ejective stop/affricate, and aspirated consonants vary with fricatives, so that's why <sh> is just [s]. <s> is [tsʼ].)
