Yeah, then I realized that this was the thread where you talk in conlangs, so I added something in my etymological orthography...

Hello, everyone. I'm new here. My name is Spencer O'Dowd, and this is my conlang, Acadian. I created this conlang to be a continuation of English as spoken in New England. So, I'm sure that some of you have noticed that it appears Anglic, and that's why. What do you think?

Has it had a change back to the old Germanic word order? Interesting! ("What thinkest thou?" > "What do you think?" > "Vá śeńt-jú?")
Assic sois curiós soure com sona.
I'm also intrigued as for how it sounds.

Well, yes and no. 'Vá śeńt-jú?' is a question. It uses the old Germanic word order for questions, but the correct way to respond would be to start with 'O-śeńt...' There was a bit of Romance influence in the intervening centuries.
Is there a place where I can post more about Acadian? Like an introduction to the pronounciation and such? I would also like some help with changes in vocabulary. I'm just starting that now, and I'm sure that my vocabulary would sound very archaic.
