hey Cartweel | language belong 2 be isolating.language and.or analytic.language Q
Cartweel, is your language isolating language and/or analytic language?
ga pha me isolating phi' aw pheng dho' phat ceng phobhōl. agh aw luph dho' wegh dho' phu' ap mab dho' ceng phu~ me agglutinating bhu phi', phadha.
At first, it was isolating as I was making the language. But, as I kept tinkering with it, I made the language be a little agglutinating-y.

at phat, me dho' -- I do -- ap me dhi' -- I am -- at, at, at. me agglutinative bhan phi'. ga me o dha', i dha' phi' -- cot me isolating.
So, dho' and dhi', etc., are a little agglutinative. Then (before), they were o dha' and i dha' -- more isolating.

at, me phab o pha' bhonga' ap me phabo' -- it speaks. at, me ceng phab o lu' bhonga' ap me ceng phabhōl -- thing spoken, language.
And, phab o dha' became phabo'. And, ceng phab o lu' became ceng phabōl.

me lu' phuna' ap bhan phabōl~ bim agh lod ang mobhōl phi'. ma, bhan phabōl phi' me nominalized verbs phat.
lu' started as a particle for someone or something that was a "follower" (object of the sentence). Now, it's a clitic for nominalized verbs.

Or something like that. That's the most (and the most complex!) that I've tried to write.
clawgrip, I saw you reference an "isolating languages" thread. Can you give me the appropriate link? agh bhekh dhe' bhu~ conlang phu'! And I like your conlang!

Edit: Used the word "analytic" when I did not mean to.

I won't be going there. My language isn't isolating, it conjugates a little.

A piece of Dwarfish poetry and a piece of Dwarfish health and safety

BHAR ER’CEAZGHAI

Caution! Do not enter!
Very dangerous mine collapse!
Do not enter - beyond hereafter is unstable/unpropped stone!
Alert your chiefs!

Ach, scarach ma’tildieathe

Oh, mountains of my homeland
Mother of the free
Thy great, beautiful and almighty,
Unbroken thou,
from whom we were born

I like how that looks GrinningManiac! caution and alert share a root, right?

A song in the North dialect (by HIM):

Ilya's sonreiend tal cel's quí baix nya terra
[i.ʎəs‿son.rjen təl fɛls ki bɛʃ ɳə tæː]
She is smiling like heaven is down on earth

I el sol's brylyand tan fortement nilya
[i lə sols bɾi.ʎan tən fɑː.tə.ment ni.ʎə]
And the sun is shining so bright on her.

I tods seus deseios de final deviniren reials
[i tus‿səs də.zis ə fi.nal də.vi.niːn rjals]
And all her wishes have finally come true

I el seu cor's planyend, sa felicidad es necand lá
[i‿l sə kɑːs plɛ.ɳen sə fə.li.dɔ es nə.kan la]
And her heart is weeping; this happiness is killing her.

GIPIUS: Just read thy Shakèspeare already, boy! –
And properly to pronoun wilt thou learn.
With ease thou thereupon canst go employ
The knowledge that thine effort thee did earn.

(I hope thou seest the very thing I did:
My intent was for thee to illustrate
The diff'rent forms of pronouns as thou bidst
By bungling with such matters delicate.

And, friends, forgive me, I did not comply
Unto the rules that govern o'er this thread
Whereby in a constructed language I
 Should have compos'd my present say instead;

To answer with a sonnet was, however,
A challenge I found worthy to endeavor.)
