Nay, it represents the first dawn and belongs to the royal house. The white (sky) and black (mountains) are prevalent in the royal heraldry, normally taking the form of a checkered field or a black zig zag over white.
If you can call it creative, my keyboard felt a little clunky (had it through 2 comps for about 7 years) while I was doing some writing. So I spent the entire night taking all the keys off and cleaning out underneath The Ktuvok might have appreciated the state of it under there.
At least typing this now seems a little more comfortable
today, I worked on revising my conworld (current version has many geogrpahical/tectonic flaws). Took it to my dad, who's a wealthy/experienced geologist. We examined and worked on it for a couple of hours. Best one on one time in ages :)
I'll spend the next few days putting it onto my computer, then onto the internet.

Cool. Didn't realize geology could be a lucrative field either.

A geology major is commonly referred to as a future petroleum engineer.

well, gold is also quite lucrative
plus, what? there's plenty of mining done besides oil... copper is especially common here, but also silver, selenium, tin, rare earths
Model of the Skookum Collective coöperative house and café from all those vignettes I have written. I based the design on various houses that I have seen in Seattle and Portland through Google streetviews. This design does not quite follow what I have seen for the most part since it needed two full floors and an attic floor to accommodate the collective and its restaurant. The ground floor contains the restaurant, of course, with the purple sign hanging on the porch bearing the label "Skookum Café" or something (although it bloated the file immensely to actually write that on the sign).

(bell rings to award din five points of some flavor or description)
Yep, that's an "Attestation of Acquisition of Citizenship", or a naturalization certificate. (Will need to correct a few commas here and there, which have to be manually input beneath the letters in the fonts I prefer...)
What do you see in the night?
In search of victims subjects to appear on banknotes. Inquire within.

Impressive. Is this a copy of a painting or picture, a portrait of some real place, or an imagined factory?
Thanks! It's an imagined environment. Part of the factory is actually a photo which I just used as a quick reference for laying down the composition. I love painting environments, but I always seem to have some trouble placing interesting focus points in them, such as buildings, vehicles and other objects. I guess I just need more practice. I used to draw and paint a lot a few years back, but when my tablet broke I just lost interest and pretty much stopped growing, but now that I've got a new tablet I'm trying to get back on the horse.
