NB: the hobby part suggests it's not professional.
Aside from the debate over whether you can be a professional at your hobby or not, pornography can involve more than one person, so this doesn't hold. For instance, Dew might be paying professional pornstars to let him film them. This would be professional porn for the participants, but still only a hobby for the photographer.

I learned to drive last year and thought it'd be horrible too. Don't worry, it'll be fun (and soon you'll realize everybody sucks at driving xD)!

I have a phone interview for the CELTA on Thursday. On one hand, I'm pretty excited, especially since it will hopefully provide me with a decent way out of this awful situation, but on the other, the whole thing is kind of terrifying and I'm quite afraid I'll make a fool of myself and fail (even though I probably won't).

It can indeed be pretty scary in the beginning, but teaching can also be a lot of fun. If you have anything you want to talk or ask about, just send me a message!

I'm a disturbed fellow...

Sometimes I want to relieve people of pain and yet at the same time cause them even more :!:

This is a contradictory feeling, no?

You can cause pain and then relieve it. That makes more sense, right?

Identical twin brother is coming to visit tomorrow. I'm excited, sure, but I'm less excited about being seen/treated as some sort of circus exhibit, as it seems like people are apt to do with identical twins. This'll be a warm-up for having it happen full-time, but it still doesn't make it any less unpleasant.

People other than 3-year-olds are prone to do that? Where do you live?

Well, I've found out today that I am set to graduate, but must wait until the summer session because I did not get my graduation application in by the deadline of January 29. I don't have to pay any fees or complete any further work, but it is a small set-back.

Congratulations in advance! What subject?

I've spent today coughing and proof-reading part of my mother-in-law's book. 85 year old ladies are supposed to write poems about their cats, but this one's written a tale of family breakdown set in wartime and postwar London.

It's scenes from her father's life plus some later detective work. He'd pitched up in London with an invented Scottish background, when really they were Maltese (anf possibly Jewish) people from Cairo.

It's a sad tale to have lived through, but a great book, if told right. I think it needs to be more novelistic and I think she's coming round to that view.
