Open Secrets has compiled a list of the largest political donors of the past twenty years, which includes what proportions of their donations have been given each party.

Am I the only one who's reminded of Mit Romney when I watch that?
You might be, but he already haunts my dreams on a rotating shift system with the rooster and Palm Pre woman.

Post-Rapture Pet Car Insurance

Post-Rapture Pet Car Insurance that guarantees that it won't fuck your dog after you've ascended.

(n.b. I found both through Professor Tyler Cowen of Marginal Revolutions)

Further, for no good reason, I suggest that you all watch Unknown Hinson's "Venus Bound.

Red State Update continues to win as Jackie and Dunlap explain yelling at town hall meetings and the death of Senator Kennedy.
While the man in that video doesn't quite look like Christopher Walken, he imitates his voice very well.

Is it uncharitable to call this a description of someone who must be destroyed? It's that last sentence that really does it, I think.

One of the most unintentionally funny blogs I've ever seen.

Note the hilariously rambling stream-of-consciousness posts, and then click through to the comments threads. Notice on many of them how the "replies" are written in a suspiciously similar style and tone? I believe it may be the first time I've seen somebody sockpuppet their own blog. Fascinating.

So, is this typical of Japanese politicians? If it isn't, it should be. That would be the best democracy ever.

My mind instinctually reorganized the paragraphs into stanzas and from somewhere I heard bongos and a string base play.

I grimaced and laughed at the same time at this -- I think it rather amusing that this person fancies himself artistic, but also wonder what this really means for the future of art itself....

Humorous comics by Yang Young Soon translated into English.

These vary somewhat in quality, and some should probably be classed as NSFW because of suggestive themes or mild cartoonish nudity. However, I think these are worth reading because the best ones are really quite good. (Ils also seemed to approve over at Ephemera.)

Insecure anti-semitic asshole it is!

Post by Delthayre »

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad might have been born a Jew! This suggests that his vehement anti-semitism might be motivated by a desire to prove himself to Islaam.

Or he might just be an asshole.

Well, the two explanations aren't mutually exclusive.

(n.b. I am a very silly, stupid man who neglected to include the address of the article in question when he first composed this post.

Unrelated to that, except in paranoid minds, this proposal from the fall of 2001 is the only good plan for rebuilding the World Trade Center that I've ever seen. I might suffer from a paucity of experience, but the present plan, such as it is, will end with some hideous buildings in an intrusive arrangement and a tawdry, dull and insulting mess of a memorial, if it is ever built that is.

What do you see in the night?

In search of victims subjects to appear on banknotes. Inquire within.

Wow, that's ... odd. If he could write it might be quite good. As it is, it's kind of sad :P.
