It's hard to believe this song was composed at about the year I was born. It sounds about 20-30 years ahead of its time.

I didn't know this one - I always thought the Hot Butter version was the original. Thanks!
Anyway, that just confirms my opinion that the period from ca. 65 - 75 was the most awesome decade in pop music.

(Saw the Lyric Opera production at the beginning of the week and it's been running through my head every day since then.)

0:31 what? this song is not sticky!
1:14 oookay, just a little bit, but I still find the words awkwardly musicalized.
1:41 nopes, stickyness is gone... the song's not bad, I guess
2:51 this girl looks like israeli laura pausini
3:30 I'm not getting the story arc... at all
3:55 the violin girl is incredibly pretty! wow!
4:10 the singer looks like a friend of mine
4:30 *song stuck in my head*

Sapari by Orphaned Land, from their new concept album.
None of the other songs on the album are anywhere near this good.

Currently listening to Lokka Táttur by Týr :D http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wKhzVdCn ... re=related
You can tell the same lie a thousand times,
But it never gets any more true,
So close your eyes once more and once more believe
That they all still believe in you.
Just one time.
