Compiling the worst of deviantArt, one drawing at a time.
(Warning: cannot be unseen)
Finally! I have been waiting for someone to do something like this for ages. Truly some masterpieces of surrealism on there. I think René Magritte might be jealous of this:

I don't recall Magritte doing much object melding stuff, but Dali would've liked that for sure.

While bizarre, I do kinda like the horse-jedi lightsaber battle.

Yeah, that one was interesting at least.

I may just add this site to my morning coffee.

An NSFW warning should have been added as well. Yuck, way to many furries there.

NSFW is pretty much a given for DA, and doubly so for the Worst Of. The furries were predictable. The "Thomas the Tank Engine" stuff was totally unexpected. :/

Josef Mengle aka Mengy-kun?! Nazi bishounen?

The one depicting a sexual encounter between Scooby Doo and Velma was pretty weird too. I'm just glad that Scrappy wasn't involved.

However, I am not that familiar with DA, let alone with WO.

"The worst of" should have been a pretty big clue.

No, it is not. It could be just bad drawings. In no way you can deduce from "worst of" that it is erotic images.

Lexeme anent!

John McWhorter was interviewed on NPR about a DEA solicitation for 'Ebonics' translators and says some good things.

I agree with Professor McWhorter's preference of the term Black English over Ebonics, although it does readily abbreviate to, "Blinglish."

It should probably have been marked, but I would have thought that anything about Deviant Art would be obviously laden with sexual or otherwise potentially objectionable content.

When it was mentioned in my course it was usually called AAVE for african-american vernacular english. I've always thought that "african-american" was a bit of a strange euphemism though... But it does make the point that it is an american dialect, as the guy mentions – black people in the UK or in Africa don't speak like that.

This is where I know DA from. As you can see, not much objectionable content there...

EDIT: I misunderstood Finlay the first time I read his post. Sorry.

Anyways, "Native American" has met a similar fate as "African American"; They've both become compound words despite still being written as two.

@FinalZera: I noticed that too, but I think it's just using irony to show that the Tea Party's arguments generally don't make any sense. Or else they are just wrong...ha.

My favorite one was the "Obama was born in the deepest depths of Mordor" one.

Some more really awful dA drawings, which for some reason won't work with the image tags:

Sonic at the Crucifiction

Possibly the ugliest portrait ever
