Discussions worth keeping around later.

He is, although I don't think that's the mother.

As always Neek, you have the freakishly scary eyes of a psychopath. Sir, I salute you.

It's more his eyelashes. They remind of those long lashes some little kids are lucky/unlucky to have that makes them appear adorable to ever girl they run into.

I had those! When I first moved to high school I got adopted (and quite probably traumatized) by some of the girls in the higher years. xD

Kelsey tells me that a contributing factor as to why she is with me is my eyelashes. I flutter 'em, she melts. 'Nuff said.

(Also, I don't wear mascara, they're just naturally like that.)

I'm told mine are rather large as well, maybe we've found the conlanging phrenological indicator?

So the average conlanger is not only bearded, bespectacled, gay, and Lithuanian, but also has long eyelashes?

Besides, it has been pointed out to me when I was younger that mine are rather long, too. I guess they still are. They're the same colour as all my hair, though, so a dark blonde/light brown.

What, ten days without anyone feeling the need for exhibitionism? What's up with that?

We have located rare photographic evidence of the elusive Finnish Diachronic Conlanger:

No, it's from last winter. I never got around getting a PhotoBucket vel. sim. account, but now we can attach pics as well.

Yay for alcoholic beverages!

I'll be posting a pic soon. One of the scholarships I'm applying for and the CIÉP application both require a picture taken of me, which I'm not a huge fan of, but oh well. (JET also requires an FBI background check, which isn't the easiest thing to do, and I may need a UK and/or German background check in addition to that. I hope not.)

WHS. Also, UK and/or German background check? Are we a country known to export terrorists by the bunch now, much like Waziristan, or why?

You're totally right... I was actually thinking about going back to the gym. I think I'll do that this week.

I've had to get background checks for jobs before... it's not that uncommon.

The JET Programme is through the Japanese government, so it's not too surprising. I lived in Germany for 6 years and the UK for 6 months, and for some jobs you have to provide background checks from all the places that you have lived in for longer than a certain period of time, usually 6 months. It's fairly standard practice, especially here in the US and for any jobs that require any sort of government involvement.

In addition, the background check is to make sure that applicants are eligible for a Japanese visa and won't get rejected if they are selected for the JET Programme. In that sense, it's also for immigration purposes.
