I finally downloaded GIMP, with which I am quite happy, as seen below. I probably should have made the letters bigger, in comparison to the blots, but ah well.

I like the header better now. Unfortunately hardly anyone will have Linux Biolinum and Linux Libertine installed. They'll get to see Arial and Times New Roman for the time being. If you like Optima and Palatino and free goodness, get them!

Besides, this is fucking sweet:

Why, isn’t that the normal way of doing it? How else would you do it?

And mine, as well.

Also interesting that some of them have 4 fingered hands and other have 5 fingered hands... or one hand with 5 fingers and one with 4. :P

For this Continental European non-Anglophone, counting starts with the thumb. For 4, you hide your thumb and instead use the pinky finger, because extending the ring finger without the pinky is too uncomfortable, so:

1 \....
2 \|...
3 \||..
4 .||||
5 \||||

I count starting from the thumb, but I don't have Guitarplayer's four.

1 \
2 \|
3 \||
4 \|||
5 \||||

I thought it was pretty much universal (at least among the people I've encountered who've needed to count something on their fingers).

I count with my index finger as one so:

1.I
2.II
3.III
4.IIII
5.\IIII
6.I
7.II
8.III
9.IIII
10.IIII/

Lefties everywhere.

1 ..../
2 ...|.
3 ...|/
4 ..|..
5 ..|./
6 ..||.
7 ..||/
8 .|...
9 .|../
A .|.|.
etc

Yes, I used to have a normal finger-counting method, then I learned some ASL and forgot them. (Finger-counting and ASL.) Now everything is equally unnatural.

Congratumalations, you're able to count up to 2⁶ - 1 = 63 on one hand, and to 2¹¹ - 1 = 2047 with both.

5 and 10, I'm not hemipolydactylic.

Counting this way is amazingly useful and makes me very special.

Interesting concreature. Why is it asymmetrical, though?

Thanks. It's not supposed to be well-thought out or anything, i just drew it. It's asymmetrical because I'm not that great at drawing.

This thing is supposed to be the cover of an album for my noise project. I'm gonna add some color and a background.

I can't do \||.. I have to hold my middle finger up with my other hand, but as soon as I let go it immediately goes right down. Highly uncomfortable, too.. There's definitely some tendon that's being hyperextended. I've never understand how you Europeans do it.

EDIT: Hmm I just noticed I can do it fine (well, the discomfort is still there...) with my left hand. There must be something wrong with the musculature of my right hand...

No. You're just genetically lower. Kidding. I too couldn't do it, piano lessons fixed that. Still can't play the piano well though.

I have the opposite problem, I can do it with my right hand without much difficulty but not with my left.

Oh well, still a cool drawing. It looks like some sort of concreature you might find in the desert, like a scorpion or crap maybe.
