I have to comment on your various lines; the whole system seems highly inefficient because of the number of transfers. I could comment a lot more on the system, but some lines seem to stop at locations that would make the system highly inconvinient.
Yes; particularly where you have two lines terminating at the central station which would work better if you joined them up to be one, which would then go from one airport to the other.

As for guitarplayer's comment, they don't do it on the London Underground and people seem to be fine with that... Even then, there's no obligation on a conworlder to cater to the colourblind, especially since their conworld might have different values and priorities to ours...

Edit:
It occurred to me that this sort of drawing is better suited to vector graphics. It then occurred to me that I can suitably procrastinate by making a mock-up of such a drawing myself. Of course, you'd need to add all the rest of the stations in and stuff. Also, I couldn't get the T and F to fit over each other properly, but the yellow swish thing looks a bit better because it's generated by a vector parabola or something. And it should probably use a different font that's actually compatible with the ț characters and stuff...

I think the second row, 2nd from the left is my favorite.

I love that one too. My favorite is the 2nd row, 3rd from the left.

I spent some time making names for novel/short story characters. I hereby offer Zephaniah Crump up to the public domain.

I've retranslated some of the poems I posted before (both originally written in French by Victor Hugo).

Clair de lune
The Moon was calm and play’d ‘pon Tides below,
The Casement, now loos’d, opes to the Breeze,
The Sultana watches the breaking Seas
Embroider black Islets in silver Glow.

From her lively Fingers escapes the Lute —
She listens… Distant Sounds strike dully close.
Is this a Turkish Courser, sail’d from Cos,
Past Greek Isles with Oars of Tartar’s Brute?

Or Cormorants, who plunge all in a line
And strike the Flood that rolls Pearls ‘cross their Wings?
A Djinn who whispers shrilly, whilst he flings,
The crennel’d Tow’r to the moonlit Brine?

Who troubles so the Seas near the Serail?
Not Cormorants, upon the breaking Roll
Nor falling stones, nor yet the deafened Toll
Of Tartar Oars that draw the Vessel nigh.

It is, from heavy Sacks, sighed Weeps of Woe —
One sees, sounding the Seas that bear them on
A human Form that shows, and then is gone!
The Moon was calm and play’d ‘pon Tides below.

----

24. And then the Lord made fall from the Skies above Sodom and Gomorrah a Shower of Fire and Sulphur.
25. And He punished those Cities, with all those who lived within them, and all the Countryside thereabouts and all who lived there, and every green and growing Thing upon that Land was burnt to Ash.
— Genesis

Le feu du ciel
See there, the Passing of the black-flank’d Cloud?
Now red, now pale, splendid to see, and proud?
Just as sad as a Summer without Fruit?
One fancies, Times, upon the Winds of Night
To embrace the City, making their Flight
The brilliant Smoke and blinding Light and Bruit!

But whence comes this? From Sky or Sea or Hills?
Is this some fiery carriage, wrap’d in Frills
That carries Demons off to some near world?
Oh Terror! From this Chaos-laden Breast
Whence come such furious Sparks? At whose Behest?
Like a long Serpent, in his wrath uncurled?
"Think only of the past as its remembrance gives you pleasure."
-Jane Austen, Pride and Prejudice

I just wrote a short poem! (It was mostly inspired by Born to Run, especially "Jungleland" and "Thunder Road"):

Code: Select all

Take this thing, know I don't need it,
take it and don't give it back.
Take it and let nothing harm it,
if it yet can take more harm,
for, for the whole time I've had it,
it's near always known pain's dart.
So take this thing, now take it from me
And disregard that it's my heart.
"A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort."
–Herm Albright

So even in Falgwia you can't escape from Miley Cyrus.

You could escape Miley Cyrus by going to South Eresia. Of course, there would be tradeoffs for getting rid of Miley Cyrus, like the possibility of being sacrificed to the moon goddess by knife-wielding mafia priestesses, but that's not a big deal.

There's no Miley Cyrus in Mebhara (nor is there Kanye West), a fact which if the Mebharans knew about it they would surely be grateful for.

(But I highly, highly doubt you'd enjoy Mebhara at all.)

Perhaps I should make a sample front page for a newspaper issued by whatever left wing party Falgwia has. Maybe an issue of the Falgwian Social Democrat decrying American consumerism taking hold.

Or the "Falgwian United Taliban" and their theme issue "Brother Osama Remembered" (translated to Falgwian, of course).
