The dream thread
Re: The dream thread
There was a lot in my last dream, but the most notable points were my friend realising he had six fingers on his left hand, me realising my left glove also had six fingers, and a really dumb guy not understanding that the "make up" part of the phrase "kiss and make up" didn't refer to cosmetics.
Re: The dream thread
I was on an airplane, and three rows behind me, in the center seat, was this rich old bat with a "dog" that looked more like a rat with the fur of a corgi stapled on. She was holding "her baby" very close to her chest, and at the end of the trip we found out she'd accidentally strangled it. Awesome dream.

Re: The dream thread
I don't know what the dream was, but last night I woke up trying to figure out how to spell /ˈpɒpjələkɚ/. As I attained awakeness, I realized that the word was /ˈpɒpjəlɚ/.
Re: The dream thread
I had a dream this morning right before I woke up that I was in the Harry Potter world (weird because I haven't read or watched anything HP for ages). I was at some kind of party, and a coffin (not the kind for burial) with the butchered remains of a handfull main characters showed up. They were neatly folded with a slice of everyone's face, including one open eye, placed above the rest of that person's remains for easy identification. Voldemort's old school clothes were also in the house, and then we somehow got the message that if any of his heirs touched the clothes, he would be revived. Heir in this case meant anyone genetically related to him, which the Weasleys and Harry Potter somehow were. Molly Weasley had gone missing, so everyone needed to start looking for her in order to tell her not to touch Voldemort's clothes. We also needed to look for that coffin because somehow everyone had forgotten where it got placed, and we needed to cremate Harry's and Ron's remains so that there would be no chance of them touching the clothes. (For some reason no one realised it would be easier to just burn the clothes.) Eventually we found the coffin in a, I don't know what to call it, like a cabinet or something. And when we opened it, the mystery of Molly's disappearance got a solution; she was one of the people in it (which everyone had also forgotten).
So creepy and weird, I never have dreams like that.

I don't remember, but the bunnies push around a 5in. diameter ball while hopping and try to score on each other's nets. There are no goalies. There are two team captains and a few strikers and a line of defense. We were trying to adapt the game to human use for some reason.dhokarena56 wrote:^Viktor: How is Bunny Ball played?

In a much longer, more complex dream I am not going to get into, partly because I cannot quite remember it all myself, this older computer my parents had was still in use (unlike in Real Life), and at one point I approached it from behind with one of my hands, and before my hand even touched it it gave my hand the strongest electric shock I have ever felt by far, making me jolt back a good bit and making the computer turn off (I do not know if it would have worked after that), leaving my hand hurting quite a bit. After a short while I woke up, and my hand still hurt a bit...

I posted that momentarily after waking up from being dream-electrically-shocked, before I would forget it, and then went back to sleep.Pthug wrote:aren't you asleep right nowTravis B. wrote:In a much longer, more complex dream I am not going to get into, partly because I cannot quite remember it all myself, this older computer my parents had was still in use (unlike in Real Life), and at one point I approached it from behind with one of my hands, and before my hand even touched it it gave my hand the strongest electric shock I have ever felt by far, making me jolt back a good bit and making the computer turn off (I do not know if it would have worked after that), leaving my hand hurting quite a bit. Dad drives up in several cars, one of which is deep blue, another is a flexible limo the same front & back. I asked if he bought them all, he said no it's "Miss Manners", a grocery delivery service because apparently he injured himself and cant do it himself. Mom wants me to help them carry the groceries but I leave the room and she appears in front of me very angry.

I said some very long sentence in Spanish about the unusual closing hours on some holiday of some department store in Calgary and the young woman I was talking to (who was standing in front of the store waiting to go in, since there was a line) gave me a very strange look for my pronounced castilleno accent.

I do not remember very much about the dream at all. What I do remember is that it involved Lady Gaga, tampons, moon shoes, soy milk and a hurricane. Excuse me while I try to reconstruct what the hell I actually dreamed about.

Re: The dream thread
So I just saved Election Day (America) by ordering 228 tater tots (gems, whatever else they're called, small cylindrical versions of hash browns basically) and a egg sandwich from McDonald's. I then watched as the person had to make the tots from scratch o_O (note: what happened was not actually how tots are produced).
I shouldn't've slept that long.

anyway,
dream 1:
I was in Bettles, which according to someone there with me was claiming to be the closest US settlement to the North Pole. In the dream, Bettles was located somewhere north of Greenland, and was on land, not a floating icecap in the sea. But it was surprisingly warm, and people were in shorts. I was looking at a road atlas, which to my dismay, listed us as being on the border between Canada's and England's arctic maritime claims, and not a part of the US at all. And for some reason our entry in this atlas caused the entry for Qatar on the next page (maybe we were listed under "Polar"?) to have only A's and B's for its city index, because our city entries (all those people living in the Arctic!!) were so numerous that they spilled over onto Qatar's page.
dream 2:
I had to get sugar cookies for $1 each from Chili's for me and a friend. But like so many of my dreams, I for some reason couldnt just drive there, or even walk on the road, I had to a take a silly route through the woods and ended up wondering if I'd gotten lost and strggling against physical objects such as steep hills, a John Deere ride-on lawnmower blocking the only straight path, etc. This dream may have been part of dream #1, just with a stream of consciousness scene change that I've forgotten.

Re: The dream thread
I was in some sort of fortress wherein apparently part of it was a volcano. At any rate, I was working on my laptop in an area on one side of the volcano (it was full of scaffolding, like the Goron Mines in Zelda: Twilight Princess) for whatever reason, and had to leave to talk to someone, and perhaps give a speech of some sort. I did so - have no idea what we talked about, but it apparently took up a good portion of the dream. The conversation ended when there was some sort of jolt and we realized the volcano was about to erupt, because it had already erupted once that day, and I needed to go and get my laptop which was still in the caldera. The problem was that when I took the tunnel to get to the caldera, I was on the wrong side of the volcano. I asked someone else who just appeared how to get to the right side of the volcano, and they said you had to look at this "EyeToy" (which looked more like an ordinary webcam) and it would take you over there. The problem was that it was turned away and in order to turn it around to face me I would have had to have walked too close to the magma (I was on some sort of solid ground that led to the magma right then), so I used telekinesis to make the camera face me. This teleported me outside the fortress entirely, whereupon I was floating above the main tower looking at a head mounted on the wall that appeared to be my dream-self's, with antlers poking out as if I were a deer that had undergone taxidermy. Then I woke up.

Re: The dream thread
I had a dream where I has riding (or maybe driving) a car in a race, but it was a weird race because it seemed to be in a very glitchy video game, as the car would suddenly go airborne for no reason at all at random parts of the track and then it would start tumbling, but when it got back to the road, it would continue like nothing had happened.
And then another dream I had was some sort of Crash Bandicoot boss battle, where the boss would toss some bombs onto the platform that you were on, then the bombs would explode several seconds after they were dropped onto the platform. The explosions were small, so you just had to make sure you weren't near a bomb when it went off, but simply touching the bomb would also kill you, even if it didn't go off. However, you could spin attack the bombs without a problem, which would send them flying. (As would a bomb exploding next to another bomb) I believe the object was to spin a bomb into the boss to defeat him, but he kept changing the rules, such as adding more bombs, or having the bombs move on their own.
A 3rd dream I remember having last night is that there was some sort of rule change on KneeQuickie that resulted in the process of uploading an image to become overly complex, where there was a very specific process to go though in order to name the file, among other things that I really don't remember now

Re: The dream thread
I had a dream in which I was beside my grandmother's nursing home bed.
There was a lot of lightning and thunder, and I was trying to calm her down as it was scaring her.
The storm passed and the clouds started to part, revealing an absolutely gorgeous night sky crammed full of stars. The clouds surrounding this opening were glowing soft shades of pink and orange.
I rolled my grandmother's bed outside so she could see the spectacle of light, when the trees also started to glow as If stringed with Christmas tree lights or covered with fireflies.
As that portion of the dream ended, I found myself at some kind of rally or event or speech of some kind in a large gymnasium-type building with bleachers.
I was following a friend, who was either my cousin, or some dream symbol representing him.
As I followed him to the front of the bleachers, the only way around the crowds, I puckered my lips for some reason, which unbeknownst to me, attracted the attention of a woman who suddenly kissed me on the lips. (this shocked me as I then realized that the kisser was none other than Michelle Obama, that part makes me laugh even now because I'm not a fan in particular)
After the kiss, I stumble over to my group of friends blushing, getting ready to say "you'll never believe who kissed me!"
My cousin, who seems to have been or transformed into Daniel Radcliffe, sauntered down the bleachers into my arms and swung around, also bragging "you'll never guess who kissed ME..."
So interested to hear who it was that kissed him, he points up to the top of the stairs, where my grandmother appears, looking years younger, with an 1980s style teal blouse on.
She bounded brown the stairs as if to show off her looks and youth, and I started to tear up and express my concern that she's still and old lady, who might fall apart if she keeps on leaping around like that.
The dream ended just as she reached the bottom of the stairs and was held by Daniel Radcliffe.
When I woke up, I had some mixed feelings, because I felt that it was a sort of message to myself saying that my grandmother is no longer bedridden (as she passed away 2 years ago), and that her youth has somehow been restored and is no longer bound. (the bed part of the dream symbolizes extreme discomfort and sickness then later an opening of the heavens to receive her, in my interpretation)
It was an interesting dream, and I didn't feel sad about seeing my grandmother in it, even though I still miss her terribly.

I had a dream about driving the wrong way so I ended up somewhere else, and then not being able to drive up a 3.5% hill, which was very very steep, and then somehow losing my car and having to walk, getting my feet very very dirty, and not having any money to even buy a Quarter Pounder at McDonald's, even though I was very hungry and thirsty.
Re: The dream thread
I dreamt that the Japanese Prime Minister, who was a woman with short hair and kind of plump, was teaching my mother and I Japanese in an informal setting as if we were good friends. I then was going to come brag about it here on the ZBB but woke up and realised it was all a dream.
Re: The dream thread
Why did you use Chinese characters in the links when you are linking to the English Wikipedia which has these people's names in Latin characters at the very beginning of the text?
Re: The dream thread
I've never seen the Japanese prime minister so I'm sure my mind just created an image haha.
Re: The dream thread
I had this one dream, OMG I'm not even gonna explain the whole setting, but basically I was having a conversation with this woman online. Apparently her silicones exploded for some reason when she gave birth. I remember one quote from her: "There was pieces of tittie everywhere".
Re: The dream thread
I was taking a really long time deciding which three flavors of icecream to have on my cone, so they made me take 5 of them even though I only ate three. One of them was "milk" flavored, which I guess is vanilla.
