ZBB member photos, part 5. (Something for the weekend, sir?)
Re: ZBB member photos, part 5. (save the exhibitionism threa
Tuque is a nice example of Canadian English. Maybe you can spread it around Chile.
Re: ZBB member photos, part 5. (save the exhibitionism threa
I don't speak much English with my fellow Chileans. I might take up using it if I ever live somewhere where English be spoken, though.Shm Jay wrote:Tuque is a nice example of Canadian English. Maybe you can spread it around Chile.
Re: ZBB member photos, part 5. (save the exhibitionism threa
So call it el túque or la túque.
Re: ZBB member photos, part 5. (save the exhibitionism threa
It makes me think of el torque which means right now. Chileans use altira though.Shm Jay wrote:So call it el túque or la túque.

Yes, but the Québecois, who devised the word in the first place, are Latins that know cold weather much better than most Chileans, so it’s more suitable to use our word.

Ohhhhhhhhh, hi there sexy beast!!~Guitarplayer wrote:The girls wanted to know whether my hair would support the table decoration. Besides randomly ruffling my hair because "Aww, it's so silky" at its current length (8 weeks since last ½" buzzcut). That certainly is adorable, but walking around with a shapeless mass of hair on my head is kind of awkward nonetheless. Oh wait, there's hair styling products. I never use them, though.
kyooooot!

I was only waiting for Astraios's comment. Almost felt aggrieved not to get any attention

Ha ha, I was joking.
Just in case it wasn't obvious, you never know on the internet.

A couple pictures of us, from our recent trip.

Radius, not far from Death Valley:
Radius on the rim of Meteor Crater:
At some point there will be a page of writing about and pictures from the trip put online. Been working on it.

Those are pretty.
Re: ZBB member photos, part 5. (save the exhibitionism threa
Wut? When did Pharazon turn blond?! :S
He has changed a lot, I wouldn't have recognised him. Crater Lake looks absolutely gorgeous, a friend wanted to take me there all the way from WI 6 years ago but I didn't get the visa

That's some pretty awesome landscape Phar is standing in front of!
That looks pretty awesome, too, for a hole in the ground.Radius Solis wrote:Radius on the rim of Meteor Crater:

Heh, neat. I remember going to Meteor Crater when I was around ten; it stuck out to me at the time as being possibly the most disappointing tourist activity ever, second only to the Pima Air & Space Museum.
Seriously, though, I'll look forward to seeing the rest of the pictures.

I don't know. Something that didn't look like it could have been made by an open-pit mining operation, maybe. Also, at least at that time, there wasn't really anything to do except look at the big hole in the ground and shop at the visitor center.

Surely you could have jumped into the crater to demonstrate your disappointment with the whole thing
Re: ZBB member photos, part 5. (save the exhibitionism threa
Well, it's a meteor crater, afterall. I mean, that's all, although I imagine it's an impressive sight.faiuwle wrote:I don't know. A nearby visitor center fully equiped and with a good musealization is what really makes the difference in these situations.
