Tuque is a nice example of Canadian English. Maybe you can spread it around Chile.

I don't speak much English with my fellow Chileans. I might take up using it if I ever live somewhere where English be spoken, though.

It makes me think of el torque which means right now. Chileans use altira though.

Yes, but the Québecois, who devised the word in the first place, are Latins that know cold weather much better than most Chileans, so it’s more suitable to use our word.

Ha ha, I was joking.

Just in case it wasn't obvious, you never know on the internet.

At some point there will be a page of writing about and pictures from the trip put online. Been working on it.

Wut? When did Pharazon turn blond?! :S

He has changed a lot, I wouldn't have recognised him. Crater Lake looks absolutely gorgeous, a friend wanted to take me there all the way from WI 6 years ago but I didn't get the visa :(

That's some pretty awesome landscape Phar is standing in front of!

Heh, neat. I remember going to Meteor Crater when I was around ten; it stuck out to me at the time as being possibly the most disappointing tourist activity ever, second only to the Pima Air & Space Museum.

Seriously, though, I'll look forward to seeing the rest of the pictures.

I don't know. Something that didn't look like it could have been made by an open-pit mining operation, maybe. Also, at least at that time, there wasn't really anything to do except look at the big hole in the ground and shop at the visitor center.

Surely you could have jumped into the crater to demonstrate your disappointment with the whole thing

Well, it's a meteor crater, afterall. I mean, that's all, although I imagine it's an impressive sight.

A nearby visitor center fully equiped and with a good musealization is what really makes the difference in these situations.
