Apparently I ended up on the start page of our little community after attending this year's retro gaming mass (which is not a big achievement, since I've been an active member of this tiny community since the very day it started six years ago and everyone knows everyone anyway, but I thought I could take the shameless opportunity to show the title screen of my game on the iPad; it didn't end up visible enough even for my fellow codeveloper to recognise it, though, haha). Might as well share the picture since it's always nice when it was taken by somebody else in a more interesting situation than a bathroom.

In Sweden that's called a Moped Mustache and is closely associated with the smell of two-stroke engine oil (from mopeds and/or Briggs & Stratton lawnmowers) & 2.8VOL low-alcohol beer (the so called "Folk Beer"). It's a rural phenomenon, mostly but not exclusively, encountered in the northern parts of the country.
The moped mustache boys are generally after girls and the closet gay-factor among them is far lower than, for example, among jocks. They just make one fatal assumption: That the sexually active girls of their age (which are easily distinguished by their drinking- and smoking habits) get turned on by their facial hair. That logic is flawed. They prefer the boys at least 2 years older...... since those have even more hair, approaching what is called "Bonnagloria" (Farmer's halo).

The Moped Mustache phenomenon will most likely wear off as the wearer gets older and more aware (i.e getting turned down by girls for the XXXXth time). Some remain the same though and fully grown specimen could be found if one knows where to look:

I've never understood mustaches...they look creepy 100% of the time, and you can't grow one by accident (and thus claim you were too lazy to shave, meaning you have to have had the intention of growing a mustache all along)

they don't look creepy all the time. for the most part, they look just fine accompanied by their natural pal, the beard. even a lone stache can look good sometimes

I meant by themselves, yeah. Einstein might be the only one I've seen who doesn't look creepy with a mustache, but that still rounds up to 100%

Honestly, I'm not shaving my mustache until it stretches past my chin. I am keeping it because people will take me more seriously than if I didn't have one (not that I'm relying on it alone). I haven't shaved it for 3 years yet it still looks like I glued wood shavings above my lips.
