Love Thread
Re: Love Thread
No matter
I did it for the first time at 14, and am still in that relationship
Though, it was quite a risk.
Well, get out there, drug a girl (or a guy) and rape him/her and incite a Stockholm syndrome by kidnapping him/her
Don't do anything stupid, but don't hold back too much

Why do you need any sort of relationship with who you have sex with?finlay wrote:February marks three years since I last had sex. Woe is me. I'm just a bit shit at starting relationships and all that jazz.

Totally grossed out at the idea of still being with anyone I wanted to be with when I was fourteen. xDWattmann wrote:Eighteen, why?

I'll see what happens after a year or two, but this seems pretty stable IMO

Some of us just aren't into the whole casual sex thing. At least for me, the relationship is the more important thing.Astraios wrote:Why do you need any sort of relationship with who you have sex with?finlay wrote:February marks three years since I last had sex. Bleh, I guess so.

but seriously, dude,
Hum... straio? newsflash. Why do you need any sort of relationship with who you have sex with?
you *always* have a relationship with who you have sex with.
at least a *sexual* relationship, and if you have sex and/or share the same air then you're also friends with benefits or fuck buddies or kissing cousins or whatever. the question is never about whether or not to have a relationship, but what kind of relationship. And come on, don't tell me you're too scared of commitment to maybe be open to like banging the same dude over and over again and also getting dinner or stuff.

No, silly. I get banged by several same dudes over and over again, and I've been cooked dinner a bunch of times. They can do all that if they want, I just don't want to be emotionally close to them or them to be so to me, and I prefer them not to do that stuff (though I'm not about to turn down free food...).El Torco wrote:And come on, don't tell me you're too scared of commitment to maybe be open to like banging the same dude over and over again and also getting dinner or stuff.

why? were they chicks? No, silly! The people I wanted to be with when I was fourteen I wouldn't want to be with them now at all.
sure, but this is the postmodern future, surely there's plenty of people willing to hve open relationships.man, that shit where you talk with them and go on dates and spend time together and know their name and stuff is so annoying

What's wrong with emotional closeness, bro?No, silly. I get banged by several same dudes over and over again, and I've been cooked dinner a bunch of times. Re: Love Thread
No, they were the sort of people who you get a crush on them without even knowing them, and then it's only once you get over the crush that you start seeing their flaws (or you have a random thought about them years later and stalk them on Facebook, and you see they've gone unattractive as they've got older). xDEl Torco wrote:why? were they chicks?
Fewer than you'd think. People tend to be like, "Ooh yeah cool I can have sex with whoever I want!" at first, and then later on they go "Actually I'm not happy with you having sex with other people".El Torco wrote:sure, but this is the postmodern future, surely there's plenty of people willing to hve open relationships.
I guess I don't want to open myself up to someone who'd probably just hurt me. Also, anonymous sex is more of a high and more exciting/fun and less awkward because there's no expectations or obligations. Also also, if I got emotionally close with some of them I'd end up destroying their families because they're married, with others because they're religious, or I'd end up dating a guy twice my age and then some, and those things just wouldn't be fun.El Torco wrote:What's wrong with emotional closeness, bro?

Who says I didn't?
I did, two or three years ago when we first broke up, and it was, plainly put, "eh whatever"

Re: Love Thread
Why are straight/married men a turn-on for some people? It's one I've never quite "got"... It's more of a general question really than necessarily directed at you....Astraios wrote:Also also, if I got emotionally close with some of them I'd end up destroying their families because they're married,
Re: Love Thread
There's an element of forbidden, you feel like you're snatching a prize out of someone, which makes you feel good about yourself, and the person in question tends to hesitate more, oh, I like you and everything, but I'm married, so I can't... but maybe I will, but I can't.. but... okay, lower your pants. Also, if the other person is married, it's a safeguard against, or at least a good indicator that they're not either too lame, crazy weird, or generally undesirable.finlay wrote:Why are straight/married men a turn-on for some people? Furthermore, in the case of gay people, hell, I can imagine how hard it must be. On top of all the compatibility, age, attractiveness and other requirements one needs to bang someone [as in B=P*c*h*rmy*mi, which means bangable people equals population times percentage of chicks times percentage of chicks that are hot enough times percentage of those that are roughly my age times the ratio of moderately intelligent by dumb as shit women in said pool], gay folk also need to multiply B times g, g being the ratio of gay to not-gay people, which, from what I gather, is like 0,1. so yeah.7

Because you're not *supposed to* have them so when you do it feels even better than usualfinlay wrote:Why are straight/married men a turn-on for some people? It's one I've never quite "got"... Basically what Torco said
Re: Love Thread
Hilariously it doesn't seem to work like that. Quite the contrary.Wattmann wrote:Edit: I might consider gayifying myself - I can understand guys better than girls...
I'm married. Have been for nine years now. My love life is all one might expect from that.
When I say "married", I don't actually mean the whole civil partnership thing. We're married from the point of view of our religion, which is good enough for me. My husband is rather keen on the idea of getting a civil partnership, and in principle I am not against this. However, he wants to do it big, as our actual wedding was an intime little affair attended only by us and a pair of witnesses. He wants tuxedos, best men, both of our families in attendance, a big reception, the works. Aside from the amount that it will cost (which gives me cold sweats just thinking about it), my family does not have a good track record when it comes to weddings. Somebody invariably ends up in hospital at some point. It also doesn't help that my parents haven't actually spoken to each other for the best part of a decade, and I fear putting them in the same room together, even if a hundred other people are present. I fear that they would make a Scene.
Frankly, I'd rather just spend the money on a week in Italy or something.
EDIT: Finlay, I tend to fancy straight men simply because they tend to be more my type. It's nothing to do with them actually being straight.
