I listen to a LOT of non-English music (it's my preferred genre, and my playlists are created based on language family - Scandinavian, French, Finnish, Indonesian, Japanese, etc.)). So what the LAST song I listened to is difficult to say. Some faves:

D'oh! I still mess up on gradation sometimes. Well, rather more often than sometimes, but...

Tulevaisuus is another fave by him, but I like a lot of his stuff. What really gets me is that if he sang in English, I'd be disgusted by him.

As for surprises of gender - check out Christophe Willem. He won a French Idol or somesuch, and in his video for Jacques a dit, I swear he's a woman in man-drag:
