I think it's parody of two teenage posts by Viktor77 (likely from two different periods as well). I don't think it's appropriate to judge adults based on their teenage behaviour. (Unless they were like criminals or something.) Which appears to be the purpose in bringing these quotes up years later.

Thank you.

They're just trolling. I personally couldn't give a damn how many of these quotes they post. I find them funny really. It's quite hilarious to see the crazy things my younger self used to say. And I thank them too for saving them otherwise they would've been purged forever. Not everyone can say that there were people motivated enough to record a part of their youth.

[…] All I can think of is how all those people, soldiers and civilians, who spoke infinitely complicated languages like Polish, Russian, Lithuanian, Czech, Japanese heck even German and English and Dutch and French, etc. (all languages are complicated at a level of fluency) were just wasted away, killed like animals. […] Like when they showed footage of the invasion of Poland all I could think of was that that guy there, who was just killed, could decline nouns according to 3 genders and several cases and consider hundreds of exceptions without even thinking about it, and yet his entire language and culture were considered vermin to be annihilated....

First time I managed to guess the language in the "guess the language" game:

And Tumak it is!
This, when I couldn't even name a Chadic language other than Hausa before I started looking up names of Chadic languages on Wikipedia!

Also this, after I then posted a short text written in Devanagari script and all anyone guessed for a few days was that it was an Indo-European language:
2+3 clusivity wrote:Kashmiri or Marathi? The non-bindu-d chandra diacritic is bothering me. Something with both /z/ and /tsʰ/ based on <च़> and <छ़>.
OK, now for stuff with slightly more universal appeal, hopefully:

Yeah, I've enjoyed watching Brood War a few times, unlike any other sport. I've never played it. Not once.

Saying Brood War is my favorite sport is not misleading. Saying Brood War is my favorite video game is very misleading.

PS. I've never read a book I fully agreed with. Maybe I should have just gone with Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus by Ludwig Wittgenstein.

PPS. The sport question has a clear answer because I don't like sports in general. Because I love books in general, picking out just one would have required thought, but maybe I should have just mentioned some actual book, any book I liked.

EDIT:
Nortaneous wrote:The yangban and chungin -- not the best analogy, since of course none of them are landed, and you'd do better to think Pyongyang than Hanseong, so maybe "core class" would be better -- took up the cause of the sangmin in the early 20th century or thereabouts, but eventually realized (and Mencken was one of the first to see it) that they don't like them very much. Sangmin don't abide by the etiquette of the court, and they've never really gone in for Bauhaus. What kind of ape doesn't go in for Bauhaus? That's the kind of thing they can excuse in the savages -- they all do their own thing and their ways don't apply to them, although of course they'd like to convert them someday -- but, fuck, the sangmin look like them! If they don't watch out, their own children could become sangmin! Their own children could end up as managers at department stores, living in the suburbs, buying statues of cherubs pissing in fountains, hanging cross-stitched theistic doggerel on their walls! What an embarrassment! And besides... besides... they were supposed to lead them into the future! To liberate them! And then they went off and... moved to the suburbs! And bought Kinkade paintings! And still, after all that, had the nerve to ape some of the ways of the court -- they went to Starbucks, they did yoga, they took all these things that were supposed to be status symbols, and now the yangban and chungin don't have them to themselves, which is to say, can't have them at all, because our neo-Confucian hierarchy isn't formalized, and if you look like a sangmin, you are a sangmin.

And then some enterprising student of Chinese Learning (to move from Korea to Fukuzawa's Japan) goes and discovers that it's written in the Universal Harmony that there's no place for sangmin in the future. What a great discovery! -- it is written in the Laws of Heaven that our inferiors will -- no, must -- cease to exist. Naturally, this is trumpeted in the newspapers, the books, the TV shows, all the intellectual fashion magazines of the court.

And now... shit. Shit shit shit shit shit. Why didn't anybody warn us?

The sangmin can read!
