A government just sort of loses track of a few nuclear f*cking warheads and you don't get why people are freaking out. Uh-huh.

Like Rabbits for Hunting Season, only dumber: Israeli Russian Jewish Neo-Nazis. (Actually they're all apparently a couple of generations removed from Judaism, which I'd suppose illustrates certain problems with the Law of Return.)

The phrase shitty conceptual art takes on literal life.

The incredibly slick NameVoyager tracks the popularity of various baby names through over a century of American history.

Speaking of conceptual art (again): Damien Hirst, whose work was satirized by A Dead Shark Isn't Art, is selling his diamond-studded skull for $100 million ...to himself.

The 20 Most Bizarre Experiments of All Time. Included are some famous examples like the Stanford prison experiments and the Milgrim obedience experiment (and lesser-known predecessors and followups), but the stuff from the annals of Soviet medicine takes the cake for sheer creepiness.

Royal de Luxe's amazingly cool giant marionette show, The Sultan's Elephant. (More here.)

You know, I wouldn't be surprised if that was the next phase of the project!

Sir Mixalot's "Baby Got Back" done as an acoustic guitar ballad.

Surprisingly, it doesn't suck.

The Doctorow piece is pretty amusing.

A lot of people get annoyed by the trend of white hipster guys doing ironic covers of classic rap songs. I can sort of see why, but I still generally find it funny.
Someone's in for a smiting...

Harry Potter fans with a taste for the bizarre should check out the Potter Puppet Pals on YouTube. There's a number of their adventures up there. This is my favourite, "The case of the mysterious ticking noise". It's great, in an insane kind of way.

Speaking of which, that video is fast spreading around my school at the moment  Perhaps that's how you heard it. I still don't know if I've seen your son yet though, I forgot what his name is.

The girl who animates it lives in Texas though, so it's not too far from where you live.

I learnt about the Potter Puppet Pals from my son, who's at Klaivas's school these days. From what he said, I thought some ZBB people would already know about them, but I also thought, there are so many Potter fans here, so it must be news to some. I like the care that's gone into it, clearer pictures than most on YouTube, at least five actor's do voices, costumes to be made, etc., etc.

That's the author of the video. He also happens to an excellent animutation (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Animutation) movie maker as well. I enjoy his works ^_^.
