Viktor77 wrote:I'm in the same boat as Finlay, also we weigh about the same. I've decided that I'm no longer going to focus on loosing weight, but getting healthy. The latter makes for more of a mastery goal while the former makes for more of a performance goal and performance goals hardly last. To do this I'm beginning a regimen of working out 50 minutes every morning from 7:30-8:30 before work. I've also managed to avoid pop. The hardest part will be food, not so much avoiding bad food but eating good food. I don't know what to eat.
I don't feel particularly unhealthy, FWIW, just a bit fat. I dunno about working out, I might try and go swimming again once I go home and have more free time though. If I actually stick at it I might lose some again. Recently I've been having too much chocolate and Irn Bru, which I'm aware of, but my life is a bit of a mess at the moment because I'm having to think about leaving in a week's time, so I'm putting it on hold a bit.

As I said, I generally get enough fruit and veg (indeed, if I was only ever allowed to eat fruit ever again I think I'd be able to live with that). I'm thinking a better idea might be to try and cut out meat for a while.

What people shop at IKEA in the US? In Sweden only old people, couples and families shop at IKEA, from my experience. All those noisy fucking children drive me mad! People who shop at IKEA shouldn't be allowed to procreate.

Don't try to tell me you don't love building IKEA furniture. I won't fall for that.

I love IKEA. I also love when Swedes have IKEA furniture because they're realising a stereotype. Like Brits with yellow teeth or drunk Finns. :P

Man, that stereotype is literally about 90% true for the area I live (hint: Texas). Well the Bible thing is like 100% true, the pick-up thing is like 90%. Maaaaaybe 85.

Gruesome culture, but rather nice, to be honest

It's true of much of Pennsylvania outside of the Philadelphia and Pittsburge metropolitan areas. If I want to see that sort of stuff, I need but go two or three miles west.

And true of Missouri as well, of course.

*Confederate

Also kind of yes on Confederate flags but only out in rural areas, not in the suburbs like where I live. Shotguns I don't think so really, only some people.

Finlay: If you've been hovering around the same weight you're probably gonna need to work out to shed. You don't have to go to dietologists and stuff, it's all a matter of common sense really; you know what you should eat: more green stuff, less tasty stuff, and next to no sweet stuff.

Nor do you need a phyisical ed guy; you can go out and run.

@Viktor: I'm wearing the same blue shirt right now xD

Oh, and I don't own anything by IKEA, AFAIK... not that I pay any mind to who manufactures my furnitre.

My house is filled with IKEA stuff too. Apparently only my parents have a say in what furniture we buy; even for my room, since they own this house. And I have the same mirror as Sko, but mine has a blue and green mosiac.
I also think I have the same chair, but black.

No it's not all common sense since common sense != knowledge, you can still eat "tasty stuff" and burn fat, you just have to know how.

Yes, I eat it whenever I can, which is not often given the general lack of vegetarian cuisine or health consciousness where I live.
