I think that's worth secession though, I don't think someone who puts sugar in their grits is qualified to lead millions of people. They clearly don't have the mental aptitude for the job.

While talking to that former owner, he described the house as having a four bedroom servants quarters with a full bath, living room, and large porch. The family must have had a butler, a cook, and two maids, plus I'm sure there was a stable boy. I'm sad this trend has gone away what with economics and human rights.

<viktor> Indeed. And it begs the question, why the fuck were there no building codes? Is it that hard to come across rebar? Does it cost that much that not even the palace or UN headquarters used it?

<torco> Poorest country in the western hemisphere, Viktor ?

<viktor> That's no excuse for not having building codes. Especially larger buildings in Port-au-Prince should have been built with rebar. I'm having trouble believing the extra expense for rebar is worth more than human lives and massive property damage.
<legion> For every Israeli killed (most of whom are soliders), 150 palestinians are killed (most of whom are civilians). Poor sweethearts, I'm going to cry.

<viktor> Yea, well they multiply like rabbits. Israelis and Western Europeans mutiply like, well they don't much multiply at all.

For the last time, pthag is long gone, as are his cares about you. Accept that you have made several enemies, move on and ignore their enmity, and maybe eventually they will too.

I don't care a thing about Pthag or any of these so called enemies who try to provoke something or other by posting this ridiculous collection of quotes from when I was a teenager. I was actually rather fascinated that anyone had bothered to keep it. I only knew that Pthag had it. I would very much like to see it if someone would be willing to provide a copy. It'd be worth a good laugh.

How long ago were you "a teenager" when you said these and do you still hold these views?

It was a while ago. No like most people in life one grows up and learns better but none of us are without our youthful stupidity. That's how we learn. Heck, I used to be a Republican because an influential individual of my teenage years was a Republican. But we grow up and learn better.

Why? Even putting aside the relative merits of republics and monarchies, what makes the Stuarts so much better than the current royal family of the UK?
