What're your favorite quotes by fellow ZBBers? This, of course, includes sigquotes.

"By the way, have anybody ever noticed this strange occurrence? In the Book of Genesis prior to the Tower of Babel story, everybody speaks English. However, after Babel (when all the languages are supposed to have changed), everybody still speaks English." :? --Xephyr

"Some Italian guy made one that works that way in Italian and Latin:
'I VITELLI DEI ROMANI SONO BELLI' Meaning "The calves of the Romans are pretty" in Italian, and "Go, Vitellius, at the Roman god's warcry" in Latin." -Grath

"The one you don?t want to pronounce is the anal liquid. Unless you happen to be sitting over a convenient bowl-like receptacle." -Shm Jay

"All of this jabbering in wonderful languages I can't understand! Now I know how my father must have felt going to the barber's as a child."-Delthayre

And then there was one in the "Should we bring back Latin?" thread or somesuch where someone said, "Oh, don't blame the language for who spoke it; it's not its fault!" (anyone know who said that? I did a search, but it didn't come up. )
Perhaps he's a Marxist because he doesn't have a lot of money or property.
(This one is funny because he (I'm sure accidentally) implicitly admits that the rich, and capitalists generally, are greedy materialistic bastards! ;))

(All of) "
"Basque and Spanish Are Related!!!"" deserves a mention too.

Most especially:

And whatever happened to jsburke's quote in Ruby's sig? (The one about him becoming Jesus or whatever it was, i mean.)

Delalyra has this one sig-quoted:
Roughly translated, it means 'to coin a new word that is pronounced as if one is vomiting and crying at the same time'. When used with the (usually) causative particle 'bingo' (/kxXteu/), it means instead 'to accidentally tie one's shoes'.-Matt

Who has Dudicon's "Conartist" quote?

Here it is!
Dudicon wrote:And something written in a conscript is, of course, a context. And the person who writes such contexts, presumably performing other practices such as conworldery and conlangery, is, of course, a conartist.
Another good one is...
jmcd wrote:Gravity is just heavy air, really.
Or something like that.
If I swore, which I do not, I would say, 'Shut the fuck up with the lemmings', regardless of your five-peat-having-gottenness. But as I do not swear, I shan't.
Just a thought.

Since one of the awards for the Zbb awards is "best quote" and many people seem to struggle to remember any of them, can we make sure this stays around into December, and stick in as many as you can!

Actually, a lot, if not all, of that thread belongs in this thread; Jaq and Eddy debating is just... wow. :D

Matt, do you still have that quote about insulting someone's uvula that you once sigquoted? I tried looking; no luck.

We need a 'Best Debate' category in this year's ZBB Awards.
