I'm not one of those weird people who hate the word 'moist'. But the threshold of 'moist' is way too high for non-insanitary duvets*. Is there mould growing in his duvet? Has he urinated in his bed? Is it... I don't know, dripping with semen? Even a wet duvet would somehow be better, then he'd probably have had a flooding accident or something, but 'moist'? That's just horrifying.

Anyway, I just realized that Telenzh has ended up with a pretty scary set of

I mean I can see the point of sometimes having a smily face or a frowny face or a winky face, although in my experience even these are more trouble than they're worth (because it's hard to read tone in short written messages, so it's hard to judge if a smile is sarcastic or a frown is in jest, and using the symbols instead of words tends to mean there's less effort to make tone clear in the words). But the weird sign language stuff where you have to be asking yourself "what would a gesture that that sort of looks like mean to an audience of Japanese teenagers?" all the time.... it accomplishes nothing, and even if you really WANT to be inscrutable it's still much quicker just to type *makes an inscrutable gesture* or the like.
