Turns out Frank Boas was right all along. There really are dozens of Inuit and Yupik words for snow.

This site is the most user friendly site I've seen for real-time tracking of airplanes in the air. You'll be amazed just how many planes are flying at all hours of the day. When you're up there you feel all alone, but in truth you're surrounded by planes going all over the world. If you click a plane it tells you about it and its destinations and it's rather interesting to see some of the random places people fly from and to.

The other day I found a Cargolux plane flying direct Luxembourg to Detroit. Now why couldn't I have been on that plane, instead of transferring multiple times...and yes I'm aware that it is illegal to charter flights on cargo planes.

I used to run into large boats all the time!

Scientists Have Discovered an Activity Just as Pleasurable as Sex, Drugs and Gambling

... and what they found will amaze you! (As they say) It's vaguely on topic, too. :-D
