Well most of the music is in English, but I've taken a fancy to the French electroswing outfit Caravan Palace. Actually listening to Dramophone by them right now. Though Suzy's my favourite song of theirs thus far.

Greek vowels sound so clear and pure, just like Spanish!

Torco, I think their /s/s sound pretty much like peninsular ones. So I'm going for the theory that you have a lot of room for your /s/s but us Iberians and the Greek have to distribute the space with /T/ so maybe it's pushed towards something you hear more palatal but isn't /S/ at all.
