"Phalbi Jaan," a love song in Koireng, a Sino-Tibetan language from the Zeme dialect continuum spoken in Manipur and Nagaland in northeastern India, whose title apparently means 'The Winter Nights':

OK, so this time, there's a specific reason why I'm listening to this song. A few hours ago, my parents and I got back from a surprise birthday party where my parents and some of their friends were participating in some capacity in a skit poking fun at the birthday boy. Occasionally, they had music playing in the background, and my favorite scene specifically had this song:

"Kalyaana Praayathil" - Nellu (1976) (I remember seeing this movie a few years ago btw)

EDIT: Screw it, we're talking songs composed by Salil Chowdhury here. Salilda always makes me go nuts (or at least want to go nuts...). And so here we are, a Bengali song to the same tune as another song from the same movie:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ggl5gcAc6BM

EDIT2: Now listening to another Bengali song in a video from Tripura, a children's song called "Tiya Tiya" (tiya means 'parrot'):

"Bhoomatha Eenaadu," a Telugu song from the movie Manushulu Maaraali (1969), which was a remake of the Malayalam movie Thulabharam released the previous movie. The equivalent of this song in the original is probably a certain song called "Bhoomidevi Pushpiniyaayi," but I honestly like this version more. :)

Good J-Metal stuff and, of course, the outro song of one of the best anime series in existence. :-D

ユケムリ魂温泉 by TAMAONSEN feat. Hazu

This song is...something else. I've never wondered what Reggae-Rap in Japanese with a Jamaican accent sounds like, but now I know. And it's amazing.

It's a remix of this song by the way. Took me a while to notice since the beats and speed are so different, but I've heard the original so much I can recognize the lyrics in the end even though I don't know Japanese lol

Really wish I could get translations for TAMAONSEN's songs though. God I'd be willing to pay if I actually had money.

I remember their brief moment in the sun over here. Whatever happened to them anyway?
On 9 August 2000, 30-year-old Betsy Yunupingu was kicked in the head. She subsequently died, Yothu Yindi band member Gavin Makuma Yunupingu was found guilty of "committing a dangerous act causing death" and in June 2002 he was sentenced to 15 months imprisonment at Berrimah Jail, Darwin.
On 23 July 2008 a 23-year-old woman was stabbed numerous times; "yidaki" player N. Yunupingu, who was described by Northern Territory police as the offender, was later found dead by hanging.
In 2009, News.com.au reported that Yothu Yindi lead singer Mandawuy Yunupingu needed a kidney transplant due to chronic alcoholism....On 2 June 2013 lead singer M. Yunupingu died of renal failure.
Dang.
