ad isn't always used with the accusative, but it can be. The usage you're going for, definitely with the accusative. Excellent work!

Thanks. I made a revised version; I didn't really like the way the type looked, and I cleaned up the gauntlet (which had been auto-vectorized) an rescaled some things.

For some reason, I always use low saturation colors...

Still, I wonder if AD MORTEM is too fatalistic for the regular SSC; for the Special Planetary Combat Service, it would be understandable, though in that case I might go with AD MORTEM FESTINAMUS.

I just want to avoid anything stupid, like AD ASTRA :?

Dicking around in Flash. You'll probably want to turn the volume down.

This really isn't all that impressive, but the thing in the middle looks the way it does because of a bug in... I'm not sure exactly what. But I've always had fun beating the shit out of Flash like that.

nais!

I recommend to overlap the audio with a remix of Nancy Sinatra's Bang Bang.

I know I posted a thousand pixels here but this my last, I promise. It's a collaboration of all my previous pixels to illustrate a neighborhood.

View it here and click "download" to open (note: not actually download) in a new window the 4000 X 1000 pixel image.

Shameless plug. And another one (Stuff in yellow is stuff I need to work on. It may be implausible. The whole thing is still Work in Progress anyway, and will stay for the next couple of months I guess, except this time I'm decided to get it done.)

I haven't actually closed that pdf, Dampantigaya. Instead, though, you've motivated me to write up my own reference grammar.

A new thing I'm starting up using only actors or musicians before the 1970s.

Oh they're cool :).

Yeah I've got like a website devoted to it now.

Oh and it's more than -70s actors and musicians now. It's expanded to Lindsay Lohan, Pamela, and Paris.

Yep. Not sure if we will use a pixelated art style at all, though. We're playing around, testing things, and experimenting. Does this look appealing to you?

These are some of the pictures I took while in Tokyo/China this summer. I fiddled around with the colors in Windows Photo Gallery. (Yes, these all started out as photos...I was quite happy with how some of them morphed into something that looked hand-drawn, actually)

(And yes, these were all done in Windows Photo Gallery. wtf)

Very much depends on the theme.

If the topic is supposed to be reminiscent of 90's 'high school' cartoons, like Doug and such, I'd say you're on the right track with that style.

It's always a bit safer though, as an amateur, to not go for fancy 3D stuff, because it easily starts looking tacky.

I should add that I actually like the style you went for in that image.

Chibi:
The summer palace picture looks nice. You enhanced reality there. The others just look like you abused your photo editing program. Experimenting is good of course, but (I believe) it's either supposed to be a photo and look like one (you may push the edges, though), or be a form of digital art, and drop the idea that it was ever a photo. Most of your pictures are lost between the two and thus look silly and over-edited.

I apologize for feeling the need to comment :P

I suppose so. Thanks.

I fixed up the bugs in the particle system today. Working smoothly now:
