What do you see in the night?

In search of victims subjects to appear on banknotes. Inquire within.

What's the 25 year anniversary about? And who is the knight rider? ;-)

The 25th anniversary is the celebration of the fall of the Ilian Empire (in 1993)*, which then led to the establishment of the second Republic about a year or so later. The knight is imagined to be a King of Ilia (Járvan, eldest son of Pócog and 2nd king of Ilia), similar to how the previous banknotes showed a knight I repurposed as Pócog, the first King of Ilia as a united country.**

*Long story short, in around 1961, the then-queen regnant of Ilia, Ircíbit (who had insatiable cravings for virgin blood, but that's a separate story), fled the country in the wake of the 1959-1961 Telemor-Ilian War, leading to the establishment of the first Republic. This lasted until 1979, when Ircíbit, who by then had remarried a war chieftain of the Yaglu, a faraway land, led a force to brutally reclaim the country, re-establishing her reign. Her son, Magjéllek, took the throne in 1992 after she passed away, but greatly resented his stepfather's chokehold over the country due to the Yaglu forces. When he refused to continue paying the requisite tribute, the Yaglu chieftain withdrew his forces overnight in May 1993, leading to Magjéllek's almost immediate fall and summary execution. This "commemorates" those events that led to the re-establishment of democratic elected government in Ilia in January 1994.

**In actuality, the knight rider is from a photo I took of a statue at the Landesmuseum Württemberg in Stuttgart. Just repurposed a bit.
