I love Trier! It's been about 8 years since I've been though. Fuck, I just miss Germany/Europe, the last time I went was 2007. I've since been to 5 more countries on 2 other continents, but still. A lot of Europe is so charming in ways that other places I've been to aren't, it's so awesome to just wander the streets there.

That is not in any way what I said. I've gotten sunburned in the winter before (in a state immediately adjacent to Utah.)

My point was I've ran into more than a few Euros who thought the vast majority of the US is brilliant green, covered in lush temperate plants. It's not, a huge portion of the West counts as high-altitude desert.

Best way to dispel that is to watch a couple early-mid seasons of Law & Order.

Switzerland and Sweden are confluent countries for a lot of people. Not only that they sound very alike in English, but in Mandarin, too: they are 瑞士 ruì shì and 瑞典 ruì diǎn, respectively. I expect similar tomfoolery is afoot in other languages.
