I have a Bible in TOK PISIN: Any Requests...?

Post by Bryan »

So, I have managed to borrow a New Testament written in Tok Pisin (The Papua New Guinea English-based creole). I have it for a limited time, but if anyone wants me to post up any NT passages in Tok Pisin, put your requests here, and I will do my damnedest to oblige you. But no silly stuff (i.e. 'yeah, I'll have the first fifteen chapters of Luke, the last three of Romans, and all the odd chapters of Reveleations').

:)

No, there's lots of violence in the OT, probably even more than in the NT, the whole Jesus-crossing thing and Revelations aside.

Just for curiosity, I'd like to have John 1, 1. You know, "In the beginning was the Word ..."

Last I checked Genesis, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy were in the Old Testament, but hey, what do I know. Just show me where in the New Testament one finds these books and I'll concede to you, fine Sir.

If you would please just read the one word sentence and possibly entertain the thought I was asking why it mattered those were in the Old Testament, it would just make my day.

MrKrov, I said in my first post that I have a copy of the __New__ Testament.

:)

Keep the requests coming in; I'll post up the passages soon.

Yes, but that part wasn't important to what I meant to say. You quoted OT texts in a NT thread. It doesn't matter what it said at the end because the point was you somehow neglected to realise or whatnot that those versus are irrelevant here. What you said at the end there isn't an attempt to justify your use of OT books (afterall you wouldn't have posted them had you realised this was a NT thread), but merely a snippet of useless information.

You fuckwit, I wanted you to explicitly say why the ones sano mentioned don't matter/count/exist/whatever merely for being OT; that's something YOU brought up. I will gladly give you some in the NT as soon as you give a meaningful answer.

Terminally stupid.

Okay, guys, as amusing as this little sausage-duel is, it's clear to all and sundry that at least one person hasn't really grasped the flow of conversation. Either way, let's not befoul this holy of all holy threads by filling it up with rancorous filth nipple bum sex arse. Oops, sorry :(

I misunderstood Viktor's "Quote 'NEW TESTAMENT'". Mr Kov likewise, as it seems. I thought Viktor suggested that instead of quoting a couple of violent passages from the OT, you should rather quote the entirety of the NT for the motherload. As far as that goes, your bet for graphical description of violence is probably rather on the OT than the NT.

The Apocalypse of John (or "Revelations" to you sillies), chapter 6, verse 8

Pretty please.

Hi man, I don't know if you're aware of this, but some of us actually work and have, like, chores and stuff to do. All posts will get replies, including all future requests. "Patience is a virtue" as my Mum says. :)
