I'm futilely* trying to get Age of Conan to work on my Ubuntu machine because I hate using my laptop keyboard for gaming.

*a) this form looks horribly wrong, b) it's probably nigh-impossible to run it satisfactorily (if you can get it to run at all) on a *nix.

Just beat Super Castlevania (aka Castlevania 4). I'd been intrigued by the AVGN's Castlevania retrospective, and when I found the cartridge at a garage sale, I gave it a shot. Awesome game. The gameplay is fun; it's quite replayable, but the atmosphere of the game is brilliantly done, all full of Gothic horror goodness, especially the music. Definitely worth a play if you the idea of going toe-to-toe with Dracula and his army of minions sounds like fun.

Next up will probably be Fallout 2 and Bioshock.

What's the best game you've ever played? For me it would be Oblivion: The Elder Scrolls, but I haven't played many computer/video games.

Lemmings.

NOT OBSESSED HONEST :?

but the fact that i could easily document all the differences between every port of lemmings and how the levels differ from one to the next, and who made some of the different ports... and the fact that I've been making a fair amount of custom levels of my own lately... well it says a lot, shall we say....

If I had to chose one game to play for the rest of my life, probably Sims 2... though I could argue the pros and cons of 2 v 3 for ages >_<

Or maybe Dwarf Fortress. There's something oddly satisfying about travelling the world with a backpack full of elf teeth.

Come to think of it, I have played quite a few computer games, mostly strategy. I was so bad at them that I think I repressed the memory.

btw, I just downloaded Dwarf Fortress. How do you pause?

Bought Terraria on Thursday and... maaan, this is so addictive. I just tried to beat the Eye of Cthulhu twice: failed first time because I died when it had like 300 health left (argh), then the second time, I got really well prepared - like 4-5 health levels higher, gold armor, more potions etc. - and then accidentally clicked town portal when it head like 2300 health. Would have beaten it too.

Hm... Let's see.

I have Super Smash Bros. Brawl is in my Wii right now.

Other than Minesweeper and company, I'm not that much of a PC gamer.

I'm also interested in retro Nintendo emulation and ROM hacking (NES, SNES, 8-bit Game Boys). I've actually been playing around with programming for the NES recently. Take it from me: Assembly language is FUN :)

Currently playing Warcraft: orcs and humans. Probably gonna find some old-school RPG, also.
If I stop posting out of the blue it probably is because my computer and the board won't cooperate and let me log in.!

Speaking of Settlers of Catan, I kinda wish I had friends here that play Carcassonne.

I'm currently playing Pokémon Colosseum on the GameCube, and occasionally playing Starcraft on my computer.

Replaying Bioshock.

I've been (currently playing through alternatively Oblivion and Neverwinter Knights. I also have Deus Ex installed, but it's been a while since I've been mostly playing the other games. I tend to like older games, or wait until great games have become old games.

I've also been playing ghost trick on my bro's DS, but I'm horribly terrible at puzzle type games. Oh, and minecrack, just to build in peaceful or when I feel like trying to brave my crappy framerate on my computer for some adventuring.

Pokémon TCG Online.

I never knew how to play the card game but the cards themselves are giving me nostalgia. (although none of the original cards from Wizards are in the game, I think)

Playing some original Fallout. (Very close to the end I think).

I've been trying to get interest in playing Heroclix (It's a semi-chess like super hero miniatures game w/ characters from Marvel, DC, and Indy licences like Hellboy and Watchmen) online through Play-By-Post or in real time via chat (IRC, Skype etc.)
