Speaking from the inside, I can say there seems to be three distinct branches of UKIP: popular working class traditional labour supporters; disaffected tories; liberals. I belong to the last camp.

"Libertarian" and other such terms seem to mean whatever people want them to mean. Essentially, I am fairly centrist on economic matters -- as is UKIP -- and pretty "left", read: liberal, on social issues. The area I disagree with the UKIP top brass, although not with the rank-and-file, is on the issue of gay marriage. I'm in favour, UKIP is oficially against.

And, Torco, Middlesex is a county. Or should I say erstwhile county; it doesn't officially exist any more, but the govt. abolishing it doesn't mean it doesn't still exist for locals, if you get me.

Nah. I hate the so-called Libertarian yet really NeoCon teapartiers greatly. Funny thing: years back, just when I thought I had found the label to hang around my neck -- "libertarian" -- I realised that there are vastly different forms of Libertarianism, and that most people seem to mean something different by it. And so the label hanged me again.

Genuinely, I like better NOT labelling myself, and instead I just give you my views on specific issues.
