I can only see one, which makes sense so I presume it's the intended reading.

I can get eight.

Any combinations of:

(various topics) (on the talk show) vs. ...(remarks on the talk show)

topics = (Donald Rumsfeld on Trump) and (Bush's remarks) vs. topic = Rumsfeld on (Trump-impact + Bush-remarks)

(impact-of-Trump) and (Bush's remarks) vs. impact of (Trump and Bush)'s remarks

Seems right to me, though I only instinctive saw three. And the one I instinctively went with is, on reflection, probably not the correct one, so... good garden path, Soap!

I can also come up with two meanings for "pm" and "ET." :P

Just seen some headline talking about someone being:
taken to hospital 'in a bad way'
which both confused and amused me... (is there a good way?)

And this one isn't the writer's fault, but I came across a programme on my TV guide entitled:
Killer Women with Piers
...but sadly, I think they just missed out the last word, and it's Piers Fucking Morgan Again, instead of the world's most specific murder documentary ever.

When I first read that I wondered how the fuck do you kill someone with a pier?

Easy: all that concrete weighs a lot. Just drop it on top of the victim.

With lasers of course.

That would make more sense than with a saw, which was what I was actually thinking.

"...what are you doing??"
"Oh, I'm, uhh, 'making necessary repairs to' this pier."
" :? Let me see that saw."
"Back the fuck off and nobody gets hurt for the time being!"

I picture this two ways - one being that someone cuts off part of the pier for use as a weapon, and two being that someone causes the pier to collapse to put whoever is on the pier in the water, neither of which seems like a very efficient way of killing people.

The women don't necessarily kill with piers - they just have piers.

I know they're trying to emphasize the rescue, but the overarching story seems to be the fire that mandated the rescue. Thus, "Liverpool Multistorey Car Park Gutted by Fire" should be the main headline with "Six Dogs Rescued" as the subheadline.

I assume that the car park fire had already been featured, and the rescue story is a follow-up.

Oh, that's too bad: those six dogs were rescued from a car park, but later a fire eviscerated them! Or someone eviscerated them with fire, I don't know.

Much as with the poor men burned near Errol, who must have been badly traumatised (Errol, that is, not the men).

A recent tweet from the BBC says "Gay marriage: Couple among first to wed in Australia" and links to an article with the headline "Gay couple among first to wed in Australia". Neither of which is all that surprising, if you think about it. I mean, people usually don't marry themselves, so of course a "couple" is "among first to wed" under Australia's new marriage equality law. And since the relevant change in the law is about allowing gays and lesbians to marry, it's not really surprising that one of the first couples to marry under the new law is a gay couple, either. What's next, a headline saying "Tennis Player Wins Wimbledon"?

Seems to be imputing a bit too much intent to the mudslides, I think...

It took me a moment to realise there wasn't a grammatical error in this front-page headline from the Sun:

MARRIED MP BONE'S PHYSIO LOVER

There's an MP called "Bone" who has a "physio lover" (presumably a therapist or the like)?

I've looked up the news story in question, and that interpretation appears to be correct. Peter Bone, an MP, has left his wife for a physical therapist (who apparently is also married).
I generally forget to say, so if it's relevant and I don't mention it--I'm from Southern Michigan and speak Inland North American English. Yes, I have the Northern Cities Vowel Shift; no, I don't have the cot-caught merger; and it is called pop.
