I must spatula this asphalt, but not likely to hammer the cloud capital.

I was searching for something and found this listed under "In the news":

Trump tweets praise for protesters calling them 'unfair'

Then I clicked on the title and found that the actual article's title was:

Trump tweets praise for protesters hours after calling them 'very unfair'

http://www.sbs.com.au/nitv/article/2016 ... r-ancestor: "Late in life, single mother of three, Kuku Yalandji, Woopaburra woman, Leona McGrath, made a life-transforming decision. " I needed either general knowledge or a rereading to realise that 'Kuku Yalandji' is not her name.

BBC advertising an interview with "Author Paul Beatty and winner of the Man Booker Prize on Donald Trump".

I didn't know the Booker had added that category.

I got this one on the first try, it's to be parsed like this: Trump's IQ (leaked) shocks the nation

Supernatural Vet Visits Timeless, Bigger Fuller House and More

The headline on the actual website (as opposed to the preview) is a bit less confusing, as Supernatural and Fuller House are italicised to show that these refer to the names of television programmes.

From the Guardian: "Decline of the Dentist's Drill? Drug helps rotten teeth regenerate, trial shows."

I got confused on the "rotten teeth", reading "rotten" as a verb than as an adjective.

Not really a garden path, but had to share. The BBC shared Zayn Malik's views on the important issue of the day:

"this is y'all woke palestine queen? Gigi out here mocking Asian people. i would say she's cancelled but she never started. rat"

This apparently translates to "of course she's not racist against the Chinese, I'm of South Asian descent and she lets me have sex with her so obviously she's not mocking anybody, she was just doing the slitty eyes and the silly voice for Reasons." But I must admit some of the syntax of the original eludes me.

What? Does this mean stuff? Huh?

This is basically the old "one of my best friends is an X" defense.

English might be evolving a little too fast for us non-native speakers to catch up.

English is the language I'm best at (not native, but I lost fluency and am not even literate in my native language, :-( ) and I'm confuzzled.

Well, that's sensible. The mentally stable aren't going to buy guns anyway, but it may be an incentive for the ill to get diagnosed.

Not necessarily true. A lot of people without mental problems buy guns without any reason.
