Cedh is right. I got it off of language geek, a site for Native American languages and their phonologies and texts.

Quick technical question (in case I ever am in a position to present a mystery language) -- how should one represent a language which has a non-Latin-based script for which there is no recognized transliteration scheme?

I'd say either IPA or a commonly used transliteration, even if it's unofficial.

I would say use the script itself. It adds to the fun!

Is the language from the Amazon Rainforest? Is it Wayuu? I know it is NOT Pirahã. Is it Maricopa?

It's spoken somewhere in the Americas, but not in the Amazon. Another small hint: There are competing transcription systems for this language (I've seen <ʉ> used instead of <ɨ>, for example), so the orthography in my sample may not be the most common one.

Maybe Koreguaje? But it has macrons on the vowels for some reason, like velarized or long vowels.

It was a coin-flip whether I was gonna guess Shoshone and Comanche earlier [they're practically the same language], and that hint makes me think even more that it is Comanche, so... Comanche?

I just realized the source I was using uses an unusual orthography. Sorry about that-- I should have noticed. Here it is in the more common ortho:
Wä-ʼäzzazomu lä-ḥəzb yərfəqu dibä mədr. Wä-näšʼä säbʽu xəbəstä wä-ʽaša-ni, wä-yəʼəta gize ʼäʼkʷito, fätätä wä-wähäbä lä-ʼärdaʼihu, wä-ʼärdaʼihu lä-ḥəzb. Wä-bälʽu kʷəllomu wä-ṣägbu, wä-zä-tärfä fətätatä ʼägḥäšu säbʽätä ʼäsfaridatä məluʼä. Wä-ʼəllä-sä bälʽu ʼədäw konu ʼärbəʽa məʼt zäʼənbälä ʼänəst wä-däqq.
No @ Zaarin
