*2) This is a bit complicated. I assume the construction is adverbial: "with my German friends there" = "as I have friends there". This cannot be translated directly, you'll best use a dependent clause: und, weil ich dort deutsche Freunde habe, mein Englisch verbessern kann. If you wanted to say "improve my English with the German friends I have there", that would be: und mit meinen deutschen Freunden dort mein Englisch verbessern kann.
