Vandaag heb ik een boek van Kuifje in het Nederlands gelezen. Ik kon ongeveer helft daarvoan begrijpen, maar het is zoals lijkt op het Engels, en Kuifje ken ik wel helemaal, dus onbekende worten woorden of en zo waren makkelijker te doorzien raden,meer dan in het Japans.

Stimmt, aber das macht es schwierig, sicher zu sein, ob man wirklich verstanden wird. Leute, die eine Sprache nicht beherrschen, tun oft so, als ob sie etwas verstanden haben, auch wenn das tatsächlich nicht der Fall ist.

Là, c'en est trop, Viktor…! Ce cours de néerlandais est complètement en néerlandais (et pas la sorte simplifiée)…et je ne parle que quelques mots de la langue…ça va être une vraie galère pour moi, comme quelqu’un bien plongé dans une langue (néerlandais) qui à la fois est déjà bien plongé dans une langue (français), donc c’est ça la double immersion. Heureusement, je ne fais pas d’examens et je ne reçois pas de note.


You've gone and done it now, Viktor...! This Dutch class is completely in Dutch (and not the simplified kind)...and I speak only some words of the language...this is going to be really difficult for me, like someone immersed in a language (Dutch) who is at the same time already immersed in a language (French), so basically double immersion. Thankfully I don't take the exams and I don't get a grade.

You have to understand that for several centuries French was the language of power, the lingua franca of Europe and the language of the nobility. These sentiments remain part of French identity or Francophone Belgian, or Swiss Francophone, etc. Only a short while ago English replaced French as the lingua franca of the EU*, which means that even though French is still spoken among the Eurocrats in Brussels, the preference today has become English, above all with new members from the East. And as I said above, today English as a lingua franca in Europe remains resolutely unchangeable, now and in the future. Understandably so, I would say, the French are still a bit bitter towards English.

Stimmt auch, aber das Selbe geltet auch für Englisch, wenn man gegen z.B. einen Turist sprecht, für wen Englisch auch eine Fremdsprache ist.

Je n’ai pas vu ta réponse. Non, je ne te sermonne pas et en fait pour autant que je sache, les Eurocrates parlent mieux l’anglais que le français, de nos jours quand-même, sauf les Français, les Belges, et les Luxembourgeois. Il y a toujours ceux qui donnent à la langue française un rang bien classé, bien supérieur à l’anglais parce que les Français et les Allemands étaient parmi les pays fondateurs de l’UE, plus tôt les Anglais en tout cas, et donc leurs langues méritent un rang plus bien classé au sein de l’institution elle-même que la langue anglaise.


I didn't see your response. No, I'm not lecturing you and in fact for as far as I know, the Eurocrates speak English better than French, today anyway, except the French, the Belgians, and the Luxembourgers. There are still those who give French a very high rank, much superior to English because the French and the Germans were among the founding countries of the EU, much earlier than the English anyway, and so their languages merit a better rank within the institution itself than English.

Es gibt wahrscheinlich keinen entsprechenden Ausdruck auf Kantonesisch, aber 「歡迎你返嚟」 oder ähnliche englische Calques existieren.
There is probably no counterpart in Cantonese, but 「歡迎你返嚟」 or similar calques exist.

אז עבר לנו עוד חג אחד. אני וזיזוש חגגנו עם מלא פרקים של פוטורמה, ואז הוא הכיר לי את הבורגר של בוב, שבו פשוט התאהבתי. גם הכנו לא אחת, לא שתיים, אלא שלוש פיצות (לכל אחד), ואפילו לשנו את הבצק במו ידינו, אבל השלישית יצאה לי נורא דביק בידיים והתביישתי להגיש אותה. הצעות לבצק יותר טוב? אה, וגם נצרב לי האגודל מהמגש של התנור. ולא היה מספיק יין (אף פעם אין מספיק יין!). אבל אלה היו יומיים ממש טובים.

Так прошёл нам ещё один праздник. Мы с Зишой отпраздновали со многими эпизодами «Футурамы», а потом он меня познакомил с «Бургерами Боба», в котором я совершенно влюбилась. Мы тоже приготовили не одную, не две, а три пиццы (на каждом), даже и месили тесто со своими же руками, но третья стала мне очень липко под руках и мне было стыдно её подать. Рекомендации для лучшего теста, кто-нибудь? Ах а мне также выжегся большой палец на подносе печи. А вина не хватало (вина никогда не хватает!). Но два очень хороших дня эти и были.

So another festival just ended. Me and Ziz celebrated with many episodes of Futurama, and then he introduced me to Bob’s Burgers, which I just fell in love with. We also made not one, not two, but three pizzas (each), and we even kneaded [I want to say /"nEd/] the dough with our very hands, but the third one went all sticky in my hands and I was ashamed to serve it. Tips for the perfect dough, anyone? Oh, and I also cauterized my thumb on the oven tray. And there wasn't enough wine (there's never enough wine!). But it was two very good days.
