There are folk songs on YouTube in Pochuri as well, e.g. this one performed by Pochuri students in New Delhi at the Naga Students' Union, which is apparently one of the biggest student organizations there. (Yes, apparently it's a folk songdin wrote:Yeah. I'd found your source, but I couldn't find any other samples of the language [Pochuri] at all to compare it against. Or any samples of related languages to compare it against, for that matter. Do you have a paper on the language or a book that discusses it?
It might be helpful to bear in mind what part of the world this language is spoken in, though. This is a Sino-Tibetan language spoken pretty much right on the border with Burma, so it's far more likely to show phonological similarities with e.g. Burmese than with an Indo-Aryan language, and even Burmese has all of those things (at least some speakers have the alveolar approximant as well).Speaking of Angami, this sounds like 2 Americans recorded it at their local church (with the alveolar approximant, the aspirated plosives and the English-esque diphthongs). I'm sure it'll sound different spoken, but it's kinda freaky.
