Het is het begin van een nieuw schooljaar en het is een semester dat heel jachtig voor mij* is. Maar ik ben tevreden omdat we een aantal** nieuwe Belgische studenten in de faculteit*** Frans en Italiaans hebben op de Universiteit van Illinois.

*"jachtig" is probably never a word you'd need to use :). "druk" wil do fine: "het is voor mij een heel druk semester", or slightly better, "ik heb een heel druk semester".
**"sommige" means "some out of a larger set"
***I'm not sure the US universities are ordered in the same way as the Dutch ones, and I'm not even 100% sure of the Dutch terms here (I've only been at the uni for 1 year).

I can't find a suitable translation for la rentrée in English or Dutch.

"Het nieuwe schooljaar is weer begonnen" instead of the above (which is otherwise fine).

Dat heb ik niet gezien

"Dat heb ik niet gezien" kan only be a response to someone pointing you to something. "Hee hwhatting, linguoboy heeft ook nog wat in het Duits geschreven" "Oh, dat heb ik niet gezien". The translation of the English is "Dit heb ik over het hoofd gezien". (Notice "dit" instead of "dat", Dutch is very picky in its spactial deixis - or is that discourse deixis?)

Vandaag is het te heet.

By fronting "vandaag", in writing where there's no intonation, this could be taken as stressing "vandaag", and offsetting it to, say, yesterday or tomorrow. In speech no problem would exist ("vandaag is het te heet"), but to avoid it in writing, a more neutral "Het is vandaag te heet" could be used.

Glücklicherweise haben wir Airco hier (auf Werk). Kein Hitze hier innen.
Luckily we have air conditioning here (at work). No heat inside here.
(I have to admit that I'm a bit lost how to say this idiomatically in German, just calcking here basically)

We don't use braidd very much, it strikes me as a kind of formal word. It also doesn't feel right to add adverbs to expressions like wedi siomi. If you want to say 'I'm quite disappointed' dw i'n eitha siomedig is better.

"sinds" indicates a starting point in time, not a period of time, so needs a point in time as reference ("sinds eergisteren", "sinds vorig jaar"). I think you'd need to rephrase it to get it working (I would find "sinds drie dagen geleden" slightly unidiomatic), e.g. "Al drie dagen lang heeft niemand hier iets geschreven", or "Niemand heeft hier iets geschreven de afgelopen drie dagen".

Je suis toujours personne qui fait des course pour des autres mais ça va. On a toujours des problèmes, surtout au niveau de la technologie qui aime crasher quand on en a besoin...mais le magasin va la remplacer...un jour....

Ik ben nog personal shopper maar het gaat ok. We hebben nog problemen, vooral bij de technologie die graag crasht wanneer we nodig ervan hebben...maar de winkel gaat het vervangen...een dag....

Jeg besluttede for at skifte min status i min 500 niveau 19. århundrede Fransk litteraturklasse fra student til auditor fordi de klasse er så vanskelig da in vidensniveau i litterær analyse er så dårlig. Jeg læser lingvistik og ikke literatur og jeg foretrækker lingvistik fordi som videnskab er den mere kvantitav end litterær analyse, selv om ja jeg ved dat der er noget som kvalitativ forskning i lingvistik. Men jeg finder det stadig interessant derfor vil jeg blive i klassen.

I decided to change my status in my 500 level 19th century French literature class from student to auditor because the class is too difficult since my level of knowledge in literary analysis is so poor. I study linguistics and not literature and I prefer linguistics because as a science it is more quantitative than literary analysis even though yes I know that there is such a thing as qualitative research in linguistics. But I still find it interesting so I will stay in the class.

Comencé a trabajar en una librería pero ya le he renunciado a ese empleo, porque encontré un empleo de profesor de inglés en una escuela privada, y mi hebreo no es bastante bueno para ayudar a la gente, y además no conozco la literatura israelí bastante bien para recomendarles algo a los clientes. Podré ganar bastante para pagar las cuentas y tendré algo para ahorrar después de todo, y también tendré tiempo para mí mismo. Así es el arreglo ideal para mí. Mi primer día será el martes, y espero simplemente que les gusten mis lecciones.

I started working in a bookstore but I've already quit, because I found a job as an English teacher at a private English school, and my Hebrew isn't good enough to deal with people, and besides I'm not familiar enough with original Hebrew literature to be able to recommend stuff to the customers. I'll be able to earn enough money to pay the bills and save some after, and I'll also have time to myself. That's really the ideal situation for me. My first day will be Tuesday, and I only hope that my lessons will be well-received.
